IHayden Atkins didn't even need her alarm to wake her up anymore, her brothers were so loud that they did this favour for her. Today was no different, Hayden woke up early in the morning with her brothers already fighting, as loud as possible. She could swear they did it on purpose.
She got out of bed, annoyed by all the noise coming from everywhere. Her room was a mess of makeup, school books, and clothes scattered everywhere., but she knew that was a problem for future her.
Hayden darted back and forth between her room and the bathroom, where she fought for mirror space with one of her brothers, Charlie, who was trying to tame his wild hair.
"Are you done?" She looked at him with an annoyed face, "I really need to shower."
"You can try to wake up earlier you know." He replied without taking his eyes off the mirror.
"And you can try to hurry up." Hayden fired back.
Charlie rolled his eyes, taking one last look at his hair, that was still a mess, before leaving the bathroom. Hayden didn't waist any time before slamming the door shut and finally claiming the bathroom for herself.
"Mitch made breakfast." He practically shouted from behind the door as he heard the water running, "If I were you I'd hurry up before Tony eats all."
Hayden took a quick shower, afraid the food would be gone if she took too long, which was a very common thing to happen, living with four boys was not easy.
There in the small kitchen, Charlie, Andy and Tony were all sat in the table already devouring their breakfast while Mitchell was making some eggs, his eyes darting between the sizzling pan and the clock on the wall.
"Ew, what is that?" She approached him, taking a glance at the awful looking eggs in the pan., but the boy ignored her.
Done with his breakfast, Andy made his way to the sink, stopping next to his sister, wearing very familiar clothes, "I see that you found my shirt," he said to the girl as he put the dirty plate in the sink.
"Hey, I was looking for that shirt last week" Charlie said, also looking at it. "I thought Mitchell had it".
"Yeah, that was in my closet last time I checked" said Mitch, also looking at Hayden and her plaid shirt.
"So sorry guys, but this is mine now." Hayden said, checking herself in the mirror, realising it was a little loose but it perfectly matched her outfit. "Okay, seriously, what the hell was this supposed to be?" She questioned again, staring at the eggs she just put on her plate.
"Oh fuck you, it tastes good, just close your eyes and eat it." Mitch snapped.
The girl rolled her eyes and started eating her breakfast. It was not so bad after all, but she wouldn't give him the satisfaction.
"So... Hays, we're gonna be at the car shop basically the whole day..." Andy said and Hayden looked at him already knowing that she'd have to get a ride after school.
"It's fine, I'll see if Lottie can give me a ride."
"Perfect, thank you." He gave her a little smile.
They only had one car and a motorcycle. Since their mom died, four years ago, Andy had to take responsibility for his siblings. He was only 21 at the time. So he dropped out of college, started working at a car shop, sold their mother's minivan, the one they had since all five siblings were little, and since then, he's been working really hard to give his brothers and his little sister the best life possible.
