Shortly afterwards, Mammon and I had found ourselves kicked out into the hallway. Apparently the others still had business to attend to, but wanted Mammon to guide me home. I glance towards him only to see he was already walking, and not at a leisurely pace let me tell you. I jog after him, scared to get lost in this place by myself. Now behind him, I can hear his complaining. "... Ugh, I don't believe this. Of all the rotten luck... Why should I have to look after some human? It's insulting, that's what it is! That rotten bastard... Does he really think he can scare me into doing what he wants?" He looks to me now, glaring. "Just so we're clear... It's not like I can't say no to Lucifer, okay?! I only agreed to babysit you because, um... Well you know, because... Uh..." He coughs. I have a feeling he really couldn't say no to Lucifer. "Anyway, it doesn't matter! Just don't go thinking that I'm scared of Lucifer or anything, because I'm not!"

I look up at him, looking completely unimpressed. The only thing that he's done so far that's even mildly impressive is keeping up this ridiculous walking pace. Maybe he's trying to lose me on purpose... "Listen, I honestly couldn't care less..."

"WHAT?!" Well, sounds like I've offended him... "Oh, now you're REALLY in for it...!" He turns to me, right before we were able to go through this massive pair of double doors too... Though, surprisingly, he gets this appraising look on his face. "... Although, come to think of it, I'm surprised you've got the guts to talk to me like that." I'm honestly surprised I still have my guts at all. "You're not scared?" I'm more so done with the way this day has pulled me in every other direction. Maybe a little scared, but in dire need of a 24 hour nap, and Cheezits. "I mean, I'm a demon. You do get that, right?"

"... It's been too weird of a day for me to be scared right now." I reply, unsure of what else to say.

"... Hmph. You're one strange human, I'll give ya that." He tilts his head a little, before a smirk appears on his face. That bodes well. "Well, I suppose it's your lucky day human, as the Great Mammon shall show you your first true taste of the Devildom!" He says, suddenly grabbing the handle to the door and swinging it open with surprising strength. I cover my eyes, assuming I'd need a moment to readjust to the light... But it doesn't change much. Curious, I look up and my eyes widen in amazement. The sky was covered with a million stars, and the moon was so bright.

"Wow." I whisper, stepping out of the building. I grew up in a pretty populated suburban area, so I never saw the stars like this before. I feel like I could just reach out and grab them... Then looking down at the nearby city below... It glowed brilliantly, like how you'd imagine looking down on New York or a similar city would be like. I look to Mammon. "Is it always this beautiful here?" I ask, feeling almost breathless from the view. He looks surprised.

"I mean, I guess so? It hasn't changed very much in the past couple of thousand years... Beside the school of course." He replies, looking at me curiously. Soon though, he begins walking with his freakish pace once more. I follow behind, looking around at all the sights. The plant life is so different- it didn't really look like how I imagined it would though. I guess I expected more... Hellfire and screaming... Though you can definitely still hear screaming every now and then. It was a lot more pretty then I expected at the very least.

"So, what's it like in the day?" I ask, following behind Mammon.

He shakes his head. "It's always night in the Devildom."

"How do you guys know what time it is then?"

"Uh, at some point, someone decided to decide what time it was, and we use magic to make sure all the clocks are synced or... Something like that." He shrugged. "Wasn't really paying attention." We're approaching the town now, and he begins looking around. "Now, you better stay close human! I don't care if you get swallowed by some demon on the way, but it'd be a real pain to explain."

"Right..." I'm not really sure I trust him to keep me alive, but I get closer just in case. We begin making our way down the cobbled street. I keep looking around at all the eye grabbing signs and lights. There's some weird looking stuff in the display windows- and the outfits are way different then anything you'd see a normal person wear back home. More eye grabbing are the people though. Most look like your average human, but most have differing tails and horns. Occasionally you see one or two with wings, but most just walk around. Their body sizes are also way more drastic then most humans, large, small... Skinny and large. I imagine this is what it feels like to be at the zoo. Though, now that I'm paying attention to them, you can see they're staring at us, sniffing the air... It's definitely nerve wracking, and I'm a bit more greatful for Mammon's fast pace.

Suddenly he points to this massive lone house on a hill... People like putting important buildings around here on hills, huh? Or maybe that's just the terrain... "Almost there now human, so quit gawking and pick up the speed!" And so he does, somehow, go even faster than before. I'm forced to follow at this terrible pace, uphill, wondering how someone can possibly walk this fast. Maybe jog, but not walk... Soon, we're past the menacing gate, and even through the door.

I can't help but look around, eyes wide. "This is the House of Lamentation. It's one of the dorms here at RAD." A dorm? And I'd thought Lucifer and his brothers would just live in their own house... Mammon must've noticed me making a confused face, because he speaks again. "Well, it's not JUST one of the dorms. It's the dorm reserved for student council members." I guess thats a little better... "Lucifer, Asmo, and the others take every chance they can get to insult me. Callin' me scum, sayin' that I'm a money-grubber and stuff..." I wonder why. "But I'm an officer on the student council, same as them! The elite of the elite, the top of the RAD social pyramid!" And who knows how he managed that. "In other words, I'm a big shot. A REAL big shot. Like, even regular big shots are impressed by what a big shot I am. So don't you go thinking that I'm just some ordinary demon. I'm nothing like those other peons walking the halls here... By the way, Diavolo is even MORE of a big shot. He's so important that he's got his own castle. That's why he doesn't live here with us... Anyway, the long and short of it is that us seven brothers all live here together. Now, it's time I show you to your room..."

Of course, I stopped paying attention after he started big-time bragging, and had wandered off to inspect some nearby posters on a bulletin. I see something about a part time position... To think I thought I'd escape the horrors of capitalism in Hell... "Hey, were you even paying any attention to me human!?" He asks, arms crossed and glaring at me. "... If there's something you wanna ask me, you'd best do it now."

Well, I'm already pretty broke. As I've said before I didn't really plan on living much longer, so I hadn't exactly budgeted for this exchange program... I'll probably have to buy myself groceries, toiletry, school supplies... Ugh. I might as well bite the bullet. "I want to know about that job listing."

"Huh? If you're curious about that, you can read the flyer on the bulletin board, can't ya?" I guess that's why it's there, isn't it... "Go take a look at it yourself later if you want..." He pauses. "Wait, didn't ya get your own D.D.D.? It got that app called ":D JOBS" in there, right? Why don't you give that a try if ya wanna find a job?" I curiously pull out my phone, and quickly open the app. It seems similar in concept to something like door dash, but with more job options... Mammon suddenly pushes my phone down, grabbing my attention. "Now, I'm gonna give you a piece of advice, so listen up. If you wanna survive even a day here in the Devildom, you'd better listen REAL close to what I'm about to say. If it ever looks like a demon is about to attack you... Run away. Either that, or die." Well that's awe inspiring. Before I can even say something though, a blue haired boy wearing the RAD uniform suddenly appears on the stairway.

He points to Mammon, looking pissed. "How about this? I vote for YOU to die, Mammon!"

Mammon jumps back, suddenly pushing me forward like a shield in one swift motion. "D'ah! Levi..."
