Gypsy
"Harry used to sing Fleetwood Mac songs everyday. I'd come home from school and hear him up in his room singing Silver Springs to himself." Gemma informed us. We were all about four drinks in and who knows how many shots. I don't think I've been this drunk on a Tuesday night in a while.
"Ooh! Mitch, they have a karaoke machine!" Sarah announced. Mitch didn't look thrilled because he knew what she was gonna ask. "Come sing with me!" She grabbed his hand and he shot us a scared look.
We all three laughed as we admired the lovely couple. Harry told me earlier that they began dating shortly after the album was released but it was obvious they liked each other soon after they met. Sarah and Mitch were perfect for each other and they worked so well together.
The crowd had died out as the night went on, now we were the only ones here except a few men sitting at the bar. It was a cute bar, similar to Marion's but less busy. LED signs lined the walls and old license plates that had funny phrases on them littered the ceiling.
Sarah and Mitch sang My Girl by The Temptations, though it was more so Sarah singing and Mitch admiring. Harry suddenly got up and grabbed my hand, pulling me onto the empty dance floor.
"I don't need no money, fortune, or fame. I've got all the riches baby one man can claim. Well I guess you'd say, what can make me feel this way?" He sang to me as he spun me around. My laughs were barely audible over Sarah's singing. Even totally wasted she still sounded amazing.
"My girl, my girl, my girl." Harry and I sang in unison. His smile could light up an entire country. Over the last month I've quickly grown quite fond of him.
"Gypsy! Harry! Your turn!" Mitch called out. When we first got here he was quiet but after getting a few drinks in his system he got a lot more talkative.
Harry shot me a glance that was asking me if I wanted to so I shrugged and smiled. He led me up to the karaoke stage and selected a song. I immediately recognized the intro to Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac.
"So I'm back to the velvet underground, back to the floor that I love. To a room with some lace and paper flowers. Back to the gypsy that I was, to the gypsy that I was." I sang. We danced around each other even though we didn't have much space.
"And it all comes down to you. Well, you know that it does and lightning strikes maybe once, maybe twice. Oh and it lights up the night and you see your gypsy. You see your gypsy." Harry smiled at me as he sang. You could hear the smile in his voice.
"To the gypsy that remains. Her face says freedom with a little fear. I have no fear, have only love. And if I was a child, and the child was enough. Enough for me to love, enough to love." Him and I sang together.

The five of us stumbled down the streets of Los Angeles with no exact location in mind. Gemma mentioned a park so I believe that's where we were headed. Harry's manicured hand was holding mine as we basically skipped down the sidewalk. Gemma was leading us and Sarah and Mitch were behind us, drunkenly giggling to each other.
"Look at the stars." Harry slurred. I laid my head on his shoulder and looked up.
"Harry you can hardly see them. The lights are too bright." I giggled.
"Well, the prettiest star is right next to me. No light could take your beauty away." He softly said. I wasn't exactly sure what he meant by it but it was sweet nonetheless.
"Thank you Harry." I squeezed his hand tighter. A few feet in front of us I saw a swing set and some slides. Gemma excitedly ran and claimed one of the swings, Sarah quickly followed after her. Mitch ran past us, muttering something to himself. "I love your friends."
"They love you. You tend to have that effect on people." Harry smiled. Once we got closer, I sat down on one of the swings and Harry walked behind me. I felt his hands on my hips then I felt myself being pushed up and down. Mitch was standing next to all of us and smiling to himself.
I laughed as my stomach dropped each time I swung backwards. This reminded me so much of my childhood. My hair flew everywhere and the cold February air sent goose bumps up and down my arm but I was so happy.
Harry moved out of the way and let me slow down by myself. Once I got up and collected myself I grinned at Harry. "Your turn!"
He shook his head but still made his way to the swing and sat down. I walked behind him and began to push him. He swung his legs to help get momentum, causing him to go higher in the air.
Suddenly our visions were blurred by bright beams of light. "Ah, god! What is that?" Mitch groaned.
The lights pointed away from our faces, allowing us to get a better view of what was there. It was two cops who looked unamused. "You guys aren't allowed to be here after ten p.m."
All of us let out a collective sigh. "I'll call an Uber." Harry said to me.
"Sorry officers. We didn't know but we'll be on our way. Have a nice night." Gemma apologized. They nodded and walked back to their cars but didn't leave.
"This makes me feel like I'm in high school again." I laughed.
"You had run-ins with cops in high school?" Sarah questioned.
I shrugged. "A few times, yeah."
Harry slid an arm around my waist, sending butterflies swarming in my stomach. "Uber's here."
"That was quick. You guys gonna get home alright?" I asked.
They all nodded so Harry and I left to go to his house.
