Gypsy
"So you ran into the love of your life yesterday?" Phoebe grinned as she dipped one of her fries into ketchup. Phoebe has been one of my closest friends for a couple of years now. We ran into each other when I first moved to LA in 2015 and we just clicked. It was nice to have someone to talk to other than the people who were technically my coworkers and roommates. Being around the same group of people 24/7 could get really exhausting sometimes so to avoid fights we would go out and do our own things for hours at a time. Usually my thing was getting food with Phoebe or going shopping by myself.
"He's not the love of my life, but yes I met him." I blushed. I was still kind of starstruck from my interaction with Harry yesterday. Plus the after effects of getting a nosebleed were still wearing off. "We had a short conversation and exchanged Instagram's. I felt like fainting our entire conversation."
"Well I mean you were bleeding out so that might've had something to do with it." Phoebe shrugged.
"Oh shut up." I laughed. We'd made an agreement that once a month we'd have lunch at our favorite place, the Beachwood Cafe. It was where we met. I was working here and she had just moved here so neither of us had very many friends and ever since we've been best friends. "Julia and Silas think we should get our next album out by September."
Her eyebrows raised as she took a sip of her coffee. "Really? That's only nine months from now."
"Yeah. I don't know how we're gonna pull it off." I laid my face in my palms and sighed.
"Oh. My. God. Gypsy, look behind you but don't make it obvious." She said with a shocked expression on her face. I whipped my head around towards the door and saw none other than Harry looking around the cafe. Our eyes met and he shot me a smile before making his way to us.
"Hi Gypsy." He smiled. "Lovely to see you again."
"Hi Harry, lovely to see you as well. This is Phoebe Bridgers, my best friend." I said, introducing them.
"Hi. I've heard a lot about you." Phoebe smiled. I kicked her leg under the table and she grunted, earning a concerned look out of Harry.
"You can sit with us if you'd like." I invited.
"Thank you." He nodded before taking a seat next to Phoebe. "So do you guys come here a lot?"
"Yeah, we try to come at least once a month together but I usually come at least once a day." I explained. "Their coffee is really good."
"Oh thats neat. I haven't tried this place before but I've heard good things about it." He glanced over the menu while Phoebe and I continued to eat. A couple of people took a double take of Harry and two of them came up to ask for a picture. One of them actually recognized me which felt nice. Getting recognized in public was still new for me but not for Harry. He'd been in the public eye for about seven years now so he was used to it. "What do you recommend?"
