✎ ᝰ YOU KNOW BEING BY Senku's side would have quite the jaw-dropping surprises, but the invention of a refrigerator was not as breathtaking as you imagined. It may be for others, but when Tsukasa was fighting for his life, you were merely thankful Senku found a way to build one. Whatever it was he needed for the makeshift freezer, you and the team would always be there to make it work.

"Check it out! We built a refrigerator!" Chrome announces as a group of hopefuls gather around in the den that hides Tsukasa's wounded state. The rectangular, cement structure is robust, powdered and materialized by chemicals. "So this is it..." Gen sighs, hands connected like always as he gives you a bothered smile.

"We should look at this in a different light now that we've accomplished this," You wave up a hand, a tug at your lips show optimism, "wouldn't this suffice for food storage in a way?"

"Oh yeah! It'll solve so many of our food issues." Kohaku chirps, hands clasped together.

The energy runs low nonetheless, the den needed to be emptied right away, and right now, time is being wasted. You and Senku share a look, quiet understanding that is, and then Kaseki glances your way to notice you giving him a small smile as well. He may not know you yet, but as an old man, he's learned a few things about the youth and their privacy.

"Alright, you guys! We gotta get out of here!" Kaseki pushes Chrome and Ginro to the exit of the cave, goofily, but he has a kindly sense of esteem in his cadence.

"But why? How come we gotta go now?" Ginro 's complains hides in the question. Other than the superb invention of the refrigerator for the mortally injured man, you don't see anything else worth sticking around for. "If you were ever in the position of having to put your friend to death, would you honestly want an audience just hanging around you?" Kaseki inquires, and it has Ginro blink confoundedly.

"They're both the chiefs of their own tribes." Kohaku adds, "they need to talk..and us being here will make that difficult." She gives you a pat on a shoulder, a silent gesture to see if you had anything else to add, her firm hold and look reminds you that this is the last chance you'll have to speak with Tsukasa until god knows when.

"That's right," But you relent, thinking that there's no way he would want your company in his last moments. "let us see what we can do out there, come on now." In the background, Senku gapes at how easily you let those words roll out and how the smile on your face is the only thing that never appears soiled against the grief.

"F/n..!"

Kohaku, Kaseki, Chrome, and Ginro are already out, but they marveled at how strongly your name was called out. Senku refrains from being astonished as you stand, dumbfounded, before the rest of the group, your eyebrows risen.
