Two weeks later:
The situation was still the same. Neither of them have spoken to each other no matter how much they want to.
It's Friday. Jungkook was called to the office room by his boss.
"Sir may I come in?"
"Yes sure"
"Jungkook, is the file which I gave you on Wednesday completed?"
"No sir, a few more drafts and the final orientation is left"
"Jungkook, can you please complete it by today? It's really an emergency "
"Sure sir"
"I'd like you to take the help of Taehyung. He is new. Hence, it will help us to know his capability "
Jungkook gulped hearing it. " Yes sir" he said as he felt that he shouldn't hamper his career for his own good.
At night:
After working for an extra four hours continuously, the drafts were finally completed. The orientation still left.
Taehyung let out a yawn . The younger smiled thinking the similarity between the old days and now.
"Aren't you hungry?"
"Yeah...but what can you get at this time?"
"Pizza?"
"From where?
"Come on Jungkook. The city life is still busy. It won't be that difficult. It's just 10 ."
"Okay fine"
"Which one do you want?"
"Anything is fine"
"Okay then one chicken corn pizza with extra cheese and corn and one chicken cheese pizza for me"
The younger was surprised that the older still remembered his choice. He looked at the older with his round doe eyes .
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" The younger shook his head in denial and concentrated on the screen in front of him.
Jungkook still wonders how the older always makes him comfortable with him and still calls himself introvert and shy. Whatever the situation or time is, it has always been the older who has initiated a talk and made him comfortable.
The pizza arrived within some time. They spoke, chit-chated after a long time within a friendly environment but none of them spoke anything about the past.
It was almost 2am when they completed the final work. It was then when the older finally asked, "So?"
"So?"
"Are you having someone?"
The younger fidgeted his fingers
"Hey, it's fine if you don't wanna answer it's.... it's just that I wanted to know if I was the only one waiting"
"You- you're still waiting for me?" The younger questioned, surprised.
The older shifted closer to him and held one of the younger's hand with his own .
"Kook, if it's you, I'm ready to wait for forever. Whether you want or not."
The younger immediately hugged the older and sniffed the favourite scent of his while the older started to run down his fingers along his hairs.
"I- I'm also waiting for you hyung." The younger spoke"I'm still for being in your arms it's just that I'm afraid that you'll leave me after you know everything "
"I can never leave you Kook. Never not even in my horrific dreams. But what is that which is making you think so?"
"Can we not speak about it right now? I'll tell you myself when I think the time has come"
"Fine. It's okay till you're fine." He then held the younger's face up "So, can we give ourselves a new start? If not as lovers then atleast as friends? Will you be my friend Kook?"
"Yes hyungie. I'm ready to be your friend once again. Let's give ourselves this new beginning "
"Thank you Kook, thank you for waiting for me " the older said embracing the younger tightly. The most warm hug both of them could ever have.
