It's already 12. How will you go to home?" Jungkook asked
"I'll book a cab"
"No need. I'll drop you"
"Hey, no need to bother yourself. I can go"
"Bother? When did dropping each other home became a bother for friends?"
"Never but still it's quite late already "
"Nevermind. Whatever I won't be sleeping anytime soon "
"Why tho?"
"Leave it. I'm going to drop you home and that's final"
"Okay fine. Anyways I have never been able to win a fight against you."
Jungkook chuckled on hearing the last words of the elder. He led Taehyung to his car and started driving it. There was a comfortable silence between them. More to say, the silence was of relief and happiness.
"Hey, tomorrow is Saturday. Wanna go out somewhere " Taehyung said
"Where do you wanna go?"
"Anywhere of your choice "
Jungkook remained silent for sometime.
"Hyungie" he said
"Yes?"
"Would you like to go to the lake where you proposed me?" Jungkook said.
Taehyung looked at him with an indescribable emotion in his eyes
"Are you sure?"
Jungkook nodded.
"Okay then fine. I would take you there"
"Really. No need to push yourself"
"Kook, I can never push myself to go somewhere when you are with me. No need to doubt"
Time skip: Morning
The bell of Taehyung's dorm rang sharp at 10am. Taehyung already knew who this excited bunny could be. He opened the door to see a smiling Jungkook greeting him.
"Good morning hyungie" he said giving Taehyung a morning hug
"Good morning Kookie"
"Are you ready?"
"Ofcourse"
"Did you take the things I told you to?"
"Yes"
"Okay say whatever you have taken"
"I packed the carpet, the sandwiches for breakfast, dry foods like cookies and chips and water bottle. That's it."
"Didn't you forget something?"
"Did I?"
"Didn't you?"
Taehyung tried to remember but still looked clueless.
"My dear hyungie "
"Yes ...."
"What about the banana and strawberry milkshakes?"
"Ooops"
"Don't worry. I knew you would forget them so on the way we will stop by the way to buy it"
"Okieee"
The whole day was spent at the bank of the lake. From capturing the natural beauty in the daylight to stargazing at the evening with the telescope, oh, how much they both yearned for this togetherness. Maybe it was just their first step as friends but it spoke thousand unsaid words of care, love, longing and the bond they still shared.
After bidding each other good night and promising each other to spent the next day at the younger's house, they finally parted their ways with only one wish in their heart.
"I will make you mine soon again, Kookie. Just like the previous days and I'll remove all the sorrows and pains you faced in these years"
"I wish to become yours soon again Taehyungie. Then I'll repay all the years that went away from our lives because of me "
