Sunday morning:
After a long time Jungkook was finally able to have a sound sleep. He probably wouldn't have woken up if it wasn't wasn't for the door bell which rang repeatedly.
Lazily, he left the bed and opened the door to see Taehyung standing there.
"You just woke up?"Jungkook nodded
"Kook, have you seen the time?"
Jungkook shaked his head
"It's 11:30"
"So wha- wait what!!!!! Shit I overslept. Sorry"
"It's okay now either you enter or let me enter"
"Oops sorry".
Entering into the house Jungkook said again " Hyungie, would you please make me breakfast?"
"Sure, you go and wash yourself. You stink of morning breath"
"Hyungie! You shouldn't say this to a person who just woke up" Jungkook whined giving a small punch to Taehyung's shoulder.
"Okay fine, get ready I'll prepare your breakfast."
After some time Jungkook came and sat on a chair while watching Taehyung preparing breakfast.
"What are we gonna do today?" He asked
" Depends on you"
"How about .....ummmm....a afternoon brunch and then movie in the evening ?"
"Fine for me but we shouldn't be late. We are both having office tomorrow "
"Yeah I know... By the way what are you making?"
" Did I get something to make other than some ready to cook mixes?"
"Hehehe"
" But why though? You like cooking"
" Who makes something for himself alone?Moreover I don't get time"
" Oh right! You don't have time for one of the things you considered as your passions "
"Blahhhh. Bullsh**"
"Jungkook "
"Fine sorry. But seriously what are you making?"
" Nothing. Just boiling water "
"What?"
"What? Pour it in those ready to make ramen bowls you have "
"Wait....do you still know how to cook anything other than boiling water?"
"I - a ummm.....fine no I don't "
"As expected. Hyung, you are twenty six, you know that right? And still you don't know how to cook other than boiling water?"
" Kookie it's not like everyone likes to cook like you"
"Still....what do you eat at home?"
"Five minutes ramen bowls or take outs"
"You are eating more unhealthy foods than me!"
"I know but still I hate cooking "
"Fine, from today you're going to eat at my place.
" Hey no there's no nee-"
"One word of denial more Kim Taehyung and I'm going to befriend you. Do you want that?"
"Okay fine"
"Good boy"
After a light breakfast by cancelling the plans of ramen and having hot chocolate with cookies, they went to a nearby restaurant.
"What do you want to have?" Taehyung asked
"Kimchi fried rice with chicken "
"Ok. Excuse me" he called the waiter
"Yes sir"
"One kimchi fried rice with chicken and one jjangmeyeon less spicy"
"Yes sir "
The whole time was full of their smiles, giggles and friendly banters. Oh, how much they missed those previous days when they would hold hand in hand and enjoy the little dates at street side cafes. Their laugh filled the restaurant with positivity and lightness.
After the brunch they went to a nearby park. They sat down on a bench watching the children play and the afternoon sun slowly setting.
All of a sudden Jungkook interwined his hand with Taehyung's and laid his head on his chest listening to his heartbeats, a sound he thought he wouldn't be able to hear again after those years in USA. What should he name this? Destiny? But he didn't want to name the situation still now instead, he knew his hyungie would always be his home and would be there to reduce his sorrows and pains. But still he was afraid. Afraid of being judged and looked down upon by his love.
On the other hand, Taehyung was taken aback by Jungkook's sudden action of closeness. But he was relieved as well. He knew their relationship is blooming again and he wouldn't lose his kookie by any chance this time. He knew that Jungkook still had a lot of secrets to unveil but he also knew that he would be there for him no matter what it is and he would again reduce the younger's pains.
He slowly started caressing the younger's palm laying on his own giving him assurity of being always by his side.In the lap of nature, they found their home again and realised that they would always be there for the other no matter how much time their relationship would need.
As the sun was about to set creating a yellowish orange sky, Taehyung prepared to get up but was immediately pulled down by the younger.
"Stay like this for some more time please" Jungkook said "I like to be in your arms like those previous days " he nuzzled his nose in the older's chest.
Taehyung was so happy that he lost his words. They knew that the time of their long awaited togetherness is now not so far away. They knew that they are finally getting close to get back to their homes which they had once found in each other and they realise that they still do.
But will Jungkook open up to Taehyung defeating his fears and trust him to the end? Only time can give the answer...
