A full moon night. Cool air blowing. Under the sky with a moon and its only company of a star, sat there, on the rooftop of a building, two men, finding their solace in each other and the nature. Memories of their way from teenagers to adulthood flooding their mind.
"Hyung", a soft whisper, almost mixing with the sound of the breeze can be heard.
A soft hum resonated.
"Why did you wait for me for so long?"
A sigh. "Cuz it's not easy to move on, Jungkook. Specially when I had already given my whole being for you. You're the only one I had. My only family. My best friend. My partner. How could I just forget all the things we shared and just move on like nothing happened? I don't know if I would've ever met with you after that night but what I knew was I would've waited. Waited for my entire life just to be with you. If you would have founded someone else, better than me, then I would have let you go yet I would not found someone else because no one else could replace your place in my heart "
Taehyung looked at Jungkook whose tears were now flowing down from his eyes and running down the cheeks. Taehyung quickly moved his hands to remove those tears and gently cupped his cheeks. A peck on his forehead which conveyed all the emotions he felt, all the pain behind those years of yearning, all the love he had for the younger.
Jungkook felt serene. That peck made him feel things which he didn't even feel during their younger days. It was that peck that finally made him realise that now it's time....
"Hyungie, will you be my boyfriend?"
Taehyung looked surprised with the sudden confrontation. He searched into Jungkook's eyes for confirming whether he heard it right.
"I-I know that I don't have anything to propose you right now. I know that I'm not proposing you the way you deserve but I don't think that I can ignore my heart anymore. I just want to be with you again. I want to feel the love that we once shared. So, would you please be my boyfriend, hyungie?"
Jungkook's hopeful eyes glistened under the moonlit night. But a silence followed making Jungkook unsure of the situation.
"I-I mean it-its okay if you need more time. I-I will happ-happily wait for you ......'
His blabberings were stopped by a pair of lips on his plushy ones. A moment of surprise. Jungkook kissed back as soon as he got out of the reverie. He tilted his head to get a better access. His arms softly circled the other's neck as Taehyung's hand slipped to his waist to pull him even closer. Lips moving in sync, the kiss was soft as more tears made their way through both of their eyes.
They finally pulled away as the need for oxygen was felt but their lips still connected with a string of saliva.
"Yes." Taehyung spoke, his voice still reverberating the drunken state he felt from their kiss. "Yes, I'll be your boyfriend, Kookie. Hell, how could you even think that I won't? I had been waiting so long for you to say these words. And what can be a better proposal than this. You and me, the full moon sky, the soft breeze. This is the best proposal one could ever find. It's simple yet powerful, just like us"
"Re-really?" Jungkook said, voice filled with the vulnerability of the situation.
Taehyung nodded softly and then he inched forward again to capture the other's lips with his own. The night, the full moon and it's lonely companion being the only witness of their love.
