It's been a few months since that night he showed up at my door. That night keeps on playing in my mind. No matter how hard I try I can't seem to get him out of my mind. "Are you alright? You seem distracted?" My friend Taylor asks me, taking a gulp of her water. I nod my head, a picture of him imprinted in my mind. "Yeah I'm just tired, I haven't been sleeping well lately." She throws her arm over my shoulder as we watch the sunset from my back yard. "You never sleep well. You're practically nocturnal." She laughs and I can't help but laugh too. She has the most contagious laugh ever.

I'm trying to do my homework when I get a notification from Instagram. I look over at it. 'Rafe liked your post.' I close my eyes and try to forget that I saw the notification.

I'm out shopping with Bryce when I see him, he's talking with Kelce and some girl I don't recognise. He looks happy and I'm glad. She laughs at something he said, she's stunning. The girl tucks her short brown hair behind her ears. Bryce brings my attention away from the trio by tipping my chin towards him. "What's got your attention?" I smile at him.
"Nothing, just a cat." I lie to him before reaching up and giving him a peck on the lips. "You love cats too much babe." He holds my hand as we start walking towards Next. "They're just so cute." I tell my boyfriend as we walk into the store.

I've been seeing them together a lot. Rafe and the girl. I've learnt that her name is Sofia. I've also learnt that she's a Pogue. Yesterday I saw them at a party, they were kissing. I'm glad he's moved on from me, I want him to be happy. I hope that she's the only girl in his mind. She's gorgeous and it seems like she deserves good. I want him to treat her well. I want her to treat him well. Everyone thinks that he's crazy but deep down he's actually a nice guy. When he wants to be.

Me and Bryce broke up yesterday, I found him in bed with another girl at Topper's party. I should've trusted Rafe when he said that he was a cheater. I don't regret getting with Bryce though because I think I've developed as a person. A year ago I took everything for granted, but the whole thing with Rafe and Bryce? I've learnt that I don't need someone that loves me to make me happy. If anything, I've learnt that maybe life is easier when I don't have to deal with the whole boyfriend, relationship shit. I'm going to take time for myself to just focus on school. I don't need to settle down with someone, i'm still young. The right person will come at the right time.
