That horrible, sickening feeling never really seemed to get any better as the elevator stopped each time, no matter how many times it happened. The weight of the thing shifted as it settled in place on the next floor, and you could always tell that it did before the ding of the bell let you know. Maybe it was because it threw you off balance and gave that weird tingle. Made you feel nauseous for a moment, like you had something hitting you inside, and the feeling made you wanna throw up, then never come back again.

But maybe it didn't happen to everyone like that. Maybe that was just a personal feeling.

What an annoying feeling to have.

As the door to the elevator opened, it stalls on its tracks for a moment before tugging itself apart and sliding away, leaving a way to walk in or out, wherever one may be going. There's always something nasty waiting for you on the other side. Some shitty surprise. Sometimes you go, sometimes you stay, but the cursed thing always comes back in the end though, so you don't miss out either way...

The sucky thing about the Regretavator was the fact that you never really knew what to expect. Maybe it could be good. Maybe it could be bad. Some days you were scared for your life, others were much more dark. One minute you could be fine, afraid but alive... the next, it all goes deathly silent...

Pest stood in the far corner of the elevator, leaning casually against the railing and wall with his headphones in, scrolling mindlessly through his music. He didn't even know what he was listening to at the moment, it was just noise to him, his mind elsewhere. That was until the obnoxious blow of a party horn would repeatedly sound in the background, snapping him back into reality, though with a bitter taste.

The elevator doors were opened, leading into the Shop Space floor, and there stood Poob, urging Pest to come along with him to do some party shopping. Pest had promised yesterday that he would accompany Poob with the task, but it was just a lie to get him to shut up. If he didn't say something that moment, he'd be bugged for every second that followed to join.

"Come on, Pest! Les go! Door is open!" Poob hummed.

Pest didn't respond, though he clearly heard as his name was called in an attempt to get him to go along. He wasn't going to go. Staring down at his Ifone, he made a half-hearted attempt to seem occupied in the hopes that Poob would eventually just decide to leave.

"Pest, u promised!" Poob would whine in that obnoxious tone.

"Well, I un-promise then..." Pest muttered, still not looking up.

"Peeeessst!"

"Go away," he scoffed.

"Alrite..." Poob pouted with a disheartened blow of the noise maker as he turned to step out. He made no argument, much to Pest's relief. "U bettr come next time tho! U and me need to hang out sum more!" he'd add just before leaving.

Pest would give a heavy sigh as he waited for Poob to leave the elevator, muttering beneath his breath with a roll of his eyes. "私が自発的にあなたと時間を過ごした日が、私が死ぬ日です。" (The day I voluntarily spend time with you is the day I die.)

"Wut wuz that?"

"Nothing. Go away."

"Mkay... Cya later! Come 2 teh party!"

Pest shook his head, annoyed. He wasn't going to be at that party.

As the doors closed, he briefly looked up and watched as Poob walked off onto the level. The elevator doors slivered, then cut off his vision to the outside within a few moments and he was alone. He could feel as the thing started to move again, making its way to the next floor.
