Y/n's POV:

"Are you sure I'm ready? I feel I was too quick to respond to your dad," I anxiously ask, turning to Mina, who gave one of her soft smiles. she places a hand on my cheek and began wiping my face with her other hand.

"You got this, honey, you worked so hard to get to where you are now. Even Teacher Kim—I mean, Principal Kim reached out to me the other day and asked me to extend his congratulations to you." She said while dusting off my offer before adjusting my tie, "Handsome boy, you should wear suits more often around me."

"Well, I most likely will if I don't screw up on my first day."

"You won't screw up, and it's technically not your first day. You're just showing up, meeting everyone on the team, and introducing yourself." She reassured me, but I was still anxious. My knees began to shake, and I couldn't help but fidget with my hands.

"We're here," Mr. Kim said. My heart dropped, and I wanted to tell Mr.Kim to turn the car around. Feeling the car come to a stop, I looked at Mina. She placed her hand on top of mine and smiled.

"It'll be okay, I'll be by your side the whole time." Taking deep breaths to calm myself down, I look out the window and see the building in front of us. With one last deep breath, I reached for the door handles and opened them. feeling a gust of wind as I push the door. I step out with Mina in hand, closing the door behind her. We look upon the grand entrance, people standing side by side from the car to the front doors of the building.

"Welcome, Mr. Park and Ms.Myoui." The people said, looking at Mina, she smiled at me before taking the lead. Following closely behind her, we walked into the building and were greeted by more people along with her father.

"Welcome, you two. I'm so glad you got here safely." Mr. Myoui said, we greeted him, and he began to introduce me to some high-ups. "These are some of our executives and directors you'll be eventually working with, but don't worry tonight; you're just here to meet them, and when you start, we'll ease you into it." Feeling a bead of sweat roll down my forehead, I began to feel overwhelmed with everything that was going on.

"Hey Dad, can you give us a moment?" Mina asked, looking at her and turning to me. He nodded his head before patting my shoulders.

"Sure thing, sweetie, I'll go check on the stage." Watching him walk away, I felt Mina grab my hand, and she began pulling me away from everyone. Going to a secluded area, she placed her hand on my chest and stared into my eyes.

"Hey, I know you're nervous, but you got this. You have nothing to fear after the things you've achieved. You made it into the top 15% of our school, got into one of the best universities in Korea, and worked your butt off for a year straight to make sure you made it into the internship program. There's nothing that could stop my Y/N." Hearing her words, I felt like crying on her shoulder while also feeling a boost of confidence. Gazing into her eyes, I held her between my hands and leaned in to kiss her.

"Where would I be without you?"

"Probably still in high school," she joked, laughing together. I looked over my shoulder and saw the crowd of people gathering in front of a small stage.

"Let's do this while I have the confidence." Holding her hand, we walk back towards the group. I see Mr. Myoui, and he nods at me, gesturing for me to come up on the stage and to the mic. Feeling a gentle squeeze, I look back, and Mina's smile boosts me a bit more. Letting go, I walk up to the stage and stand in front of the mic. Looking out at the crowds and seeing everyone's faces, I didn't feel a bit of nervousness.

"Hello everyone, I am Park Y/N. I am looking forward to working with everyone as part of this year's internship team. I will work hard and not let you down! Please take care of me." Bowing, I began feeling that nervousness again, but remembering what Mina said, I was confident that I would make it far here. Standing my back to see the crowd clapping, I smile to myself as I stood proudly.
