Brief Notice

Hey, guys! Author here.
I am abandoning this story (for lots of reasons, mostly due to time and mild embarrassment) so this'll probably be unfinished. Forever.

And so, here are all the important story points (from what I can remember. I haven't thought about this story in months.)

-David killed the gods in an act of "revenge" (fate evil blehhh). David himself becomes the new god from the energy created by the gods' deaths - the god of advancements and engineering. He guides humanity to the new age, having removed magic (and thus, fate) from the world.
(Side note here - the gods didn't create their respective elements, they were made from the magic surrounding early humans' imaginations, and since many believed there to be a higher power that controlled everything, this is what magic became.)

-(from the flashbacks & journals) Nico's brother kills Taylor's sister out of pure malice and Taylor kills him. Nico kills himself out of apathy for the world. In a state of grief and regret, David 'adopts' Taylor, only for Taylor to run.

-In the present day, Taylor converses with the crew, sharing his findings. Daniel calls Taylor out for being an Oblivian, and he escapes into the Pristine Forest. Not knowing where he's going, he runs to the cliff and stops just before the edge. The Captain calling out for him startles him and he falls to his death.

-In David's last words (enclosed at the end of Nico's journal) it is revealed that Eileen attempted to kill Nico because she had a prophecy that he would suffer. Not wanting him to face that fate, she tries to poison Nico, only for him to survive. David kills Dominic and Eileen during the voyage while trying to get them to see the error of their ways. At the very end of her life, Eileen changes her mind and saves Nico from the sinking ship.

-In the epilogue, it is revealed that Taylor's mother is alive and looking for Taylor. She is the client that the Captain had, and after seeing Taylor's dead body, she cries. Taylor's real name turns out to be Robin.

That should be all (comment if you want some questions answered idk). Thank you for sticking around for so long (the story was shit, yes (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠) but I tried).
