The begging of part 4 has the time of a different story. It's almost like a stream-of-conscious. It's jarring but in a good way. Reading Darrow cut his armor off is jarring in the suspenseful way.
I don't think I could go through this series without Sevro. Neither could Darrow. He's been there for all the bad times, and the worst. He is with Darrow in the worst times, and when Darrow jumped the wall leaving him and the Howlers behind, hearing Sevro's screams for him could have broken my heart if it were not written instead.
The Golds hold such a high view of themselves based on their upbringings and viewpoints. Anything so small as giving an Obsidian a weapon intended for a Gold may be co sidered treason in some eyes.
PLOT TWIST. I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. Fitchner is Ares?! That must be why Sevro was told the truth from the Sons! Wait, does this mean Sevro is a Red?! Is THAT why he isn't like the rest? I don't think he knows, well, maybe he knows now. I have questions that need answering right now, Pierce Brown!
It seems a little convenient that the Sons attacked the Jackel's base as Darrow arrived. Yes, they made it look like the Jackel was betrayed, but how long till he eventually figured it out? He isn't dumb. Darrow has been involved with two events with the same people from the Sons now.
Well, I was half right about Sevro.
These last few chapters are moving rather quickly. We are jumping from scene to scene instead of transitioning through them.
Back in Lykos. I knew this was coming, just didn't think so suddenly. It isn't what I wanted it to be. I wanted him to return victorious, declaring himself to the whole mine, his whole family.
I knew the Jackel would figured out Darrow's ploy on Attica. It wasn't stealthy enough. How did they figure out Fitchner's part in all this? I doubt Mustang would have told her brother or Cassius, if she did she'd be here to watch Darrow get subdued.
I thought Rogue, being as poetic as he is, would understand and appreciate Darrow for being Red. No. He does not care. And it's not just because of their tattered friendship I don't think.
