The intensity of Beam's heat surpassed anything he had ever experienced before. He gasped for air, desperately grinding against the seat, yearning for his alpha as they made their way to their apartment complex.
"Alpha, it hurts... it hurts so much... please, make it stop," Beam pleaded, tears streaming down his face, his body trembling with sobs.
"It's too hot," he whimpered, tugging at his clothes. "I need them off, alpha..."
"Don't you dare take off your clothes, omega," he growled, his eyes fixed firmly on the road ahead, breathing heavily through his mouth.
The car was permeated with the delightful aroma of sandalwood, creating an atmosphere that was both cozy and alluring. As the scent enveloped him, he couldn't help but feel a surge of desire. His body responded, his pulse quickened, and an intense ache of pleasure pulsed through him.
"Please...can't...hurts..."
His voice was firm as he declared, "No one will lay eyes on what belongs to me. Just give me five more minutes, baby."
Forth's alpha stood poised on the surface, prepared to care for his mate and struggling to maintain composure for their well-being. Despite his desire to be engulfed in the omega's warmth, his instinct to shield him was his top priority.
The omega in heat was like a trouble magnet, thanks to their unique biology. In the face of death and scarcity, they were hardwired to seek out mates and ensure the survival of their kind. Even though the world has transformed and their species has adapted, the mating season still holds a powerful sway over the wolves.
The pheromones emitted by Beam were irresistible to any unattached wolf, and as an unattached omega, it posed a great danger. It was highly unusual for Beam to go into heat without any prior indication.
Forth struggled to maintain his composure, his hand trembling as he fought the urge to join the omega in the back seat and satisfy his desires in every way imaginable. His knuckles turned pale, and it seemed as though he might shatter the steering wheel if he tightened his grip any further.
Protect mate.
Bring him to safety.
Bring him to his nest.
Protect mate.
His wolf's persistent chant had a mesmerizing effect, causing his senses to numb as he made his way back to the apartment. Despite breaking numerous traffic rules, he couldn't care less. The fine would come through a text, thanks to their efficient system, and he would address it when the time came.
He quickly phoned his mother after getting a call from Beam, letting her know about his situation and the lack of preparation. She reassured him not to stress and promised to bring over food and supplies they needed. She also mentioned that Beam's mother had already taken him to the doctor earlier in the week to get him on birth control, so everything was under control.
He felt incredibly fortunate to have parents who were so understanding, especially during times like these. He knew he could always count on them and trusted them with everything. When they approached their parents about wanting to start dating, they had a serious conversation, weighing the pros and cons before receiving their approval.
Looking back, he realized that it was the best decision they could have made. With their parents' guidance, they were able to navigate their relationship while also managing their studies and other responsibilities. Of course, they had their fair share of arguments like any other couple, and there were moments when their parents had to step in. But he considered himself the luckiest person in the world to have Beam by his side.
