We landed on the soft sponge, and Mai brought us along as she went to a shop, for a reason I didn't care enough about to ask, while Quan went to meet someone named 'Lord Cassius'. I played with my hair for a while, and then I got a great idea to pass the time.

'I wonder who Lord Cassius is. Quan meets with him for drinks often.'

"Psst. Tam. Tell Linh I'm going to spy on Quan to see what he's doing." I told Tam. He slowly nodded and shadow-whispered to Linh.

I was an Atomkinetic, and therefore the only person out of us three who could spy on him. I raised my hands and tugged a lot of atoms from my skin, eyes, hair, and clothes, and made the atoms expand until there was a lifeless clone of me. I waved to Tam and Linh, and then pulled all my atoms apart, but kept them close enough that I could still function. (When you pull your atoms apart, it really hurts, but nothing bad happens to you.) I followed Quan's atoms and listened to them talk about 'disappointing triplets' and someone named 'Keefe' who was most likely Lord Cassius's son. When they were interrupted by sirens and a loudspeaker blared, "Please evacuate. Atlantis is being flooded."

I gasped, "Linh!", realizing what I did a second afterwards.

'How could I forget? I needed to practice pulling my atoms apart and keeping them apart when we go home.'

Quan and Lord Cassius turned to me, but I ran away, weaving through the people and going against the crowd to find Linh, sweat dripping down her brow, and Tam, who was holding her. I tried to help Linh by shrinking all the water atoms — which was not an easy feat — and sending the shrunk atoms into the ocean, but a team of Psionipaths and Hydrokinetics came and stopped the flood. Quan and Mai dragged us to the bubble-maker thingy and we leaped home to face angry parents, but instead the entire Council was also there.

'How did they get here so quickly?'

Councillor Emery said the words that would change my life.

"There will be a Tribunal for Linh Song and Anh Song."
