"Hey, Kuroi, do you want to sit with us at break?" A group of girls had come up to me.
"Oh no, I appreciate your offer, but I feel like me being there will be quite awkward between everybody so no thanks." I told them. The group of girls ran off after hearing that, saying something about, "so cool". I sighed and turn my head towards the window. It was the second day and I needed help making friends. Though it doesn't seem like it, making friends as a celebrity is not easy. You may think that just because many people come to you inviting you to join their friend group, it doesn't mean that it is easy to pick out good friends, especially for someone like me. Don't pick someone who's too vulgar, don't pick someone who's too irresponsible, don't pick someone who's too self-centered, don't pick someone who's too much of a beauty guru. It was hard to find people who were not too hot, not too cold, but rather, just right.
I stood up from my desk to buy a drink from the vending machine outside the classroom. I held my phone in one hand and cautiously looked around. I really didn't want history to repeat itself. Finally feeling safe, I took the chance to go to the vending machine with nobody around to buy my drink. There were so many good drink options though, how was I suppose to choose? I stood there contemplating on which option to choose. I need my once per day sweet drink to keep alive after all.
"Having trouble choosing? How about choosing the melon milk? That one's my favourite!" I heard an energetic voice speak behind me.
I looked behind to see a tall girl with white hair turning into a green ombre. She had pretty eyes that looked like she had a delicate and soft spoken personality. In contrast, her voice was right and chirpy, like an energetic child in the morning.
"But I don't like melon milk though."
I told her with a slight pout.
"Really? I love melon milk, it's practically the best drink in the world! Ooh, the chocolate milk is not bad too! You can try that!" She exclaimed.
Trying her suggestion, I took a sip of the drink she recommended. The chocolate milk was cold and had a wonderful, rich chocolate flavour.
"Enjoying it? I knew you would! I'm Sayo, by the way, Sayo Hanazawa! It's nice to meet you, I hope we become friends!" Sayo passionately said.
"It's nice to meet you too, I'm Kuroi Tenshi. Are you my senior by any chance?" I asked.
"Yup! I'm your second year senior! Meeting juniors are always so exciting! They always bring a new, refreshing vibe to the school!" She recounted.
Okay so if there was a Sunshine Boy, this one definitely had to be the Sunshine Girl. Sayo was extroverted and always talked in a cheery type of voice."Do you have anyone to go break with? You can join my friends and I! We usually eat at a special place in the school. Don't worry about it being awkward, the rest will definitely make it quite entertaining!" Sayo told me.
We were walking down a somewhat familiar hallway and before we approached one of the doors. I took a sip of my drink only to nearly spit it out when Sayo opened the door."Sayo, you're back and who's that? Oh, it's nice to see you again, Kuroi!"
Sitting in front of me were the 3 boys I met yesterday, Nezuko, Yuta and Masato.
"Oh, you've met Nezuko before?" Sayo questioned and turned towards me.
"Umm, I've met all 3," I mumbled.
"Oh really? How exciting! Since you've already met all 4 of us before, why don't you have break with us?" Sayo asked.
"You know what? It's fine. I'll just go-"
"Oh it's fine!" Sayo said, placing her hands on my shoulders and forced me to sit down on the couch, "It won't be awkward! Just relax!"
Apparently, the group go to Yuta's office for break and lunch. That's why the couch was there.
"Kuroi, you're welcome to come here for break and lunch if you like." Yuta told me."Thanks but, why me? Not to be rude, I mean, I'm not even acquainted with all 4 of you yet." I pointed out.
"Well you manage to meet all of us in such a short time and it's your 2nd day here. We want to make you feel welcome!" Nezuko answered cheerfully.
"You will join us, right, Kuroi?" Sayo asked.
"I'll think about it." I stood up to leave the office.
Making it back to the classroom with a little bit of time to spare for the next class, I heaved a sigh as I sat back down at my seat. Seriously, what did I get myself mixed up into.
