Bonnie sat on Caroline's bed as she played with a tall dinner candle while Caroline was applying makeup to her bite mark on her neck. Veronica was tying her shoelaces on her ankle boots as she glanced up at Caroline - who sat in front of the mirror across the room - every few seconds to make sure she was okay.

"I remember the party." Caroline told them, reminiscing about the previous night where Damon tired biting her once again. Veronica didn't exactly understand how or why Damon was biting her. It is definitely a sign of abuse but surely there are more obvious ways to abuse someone, especially a woman. "Damon came up behind me and he was kissing my neck or biting my neck. I passed out. It's like there's holes in my memories lately. It's just weird. Maybe I let him bite me."

Bonnie looked up from the candle in her hands and gave Caroline a confused look. "Why would you do that?"

"Can we just not talk about it?" Caroline quickly changed the subject before taking a deep breath as she finished putting makeup on her neck. "Okay? I just don't wanna talk about Damon. I don't wanna talk about any of it. Just want to go back to normal."

Veronica looked over at Bonnie and noticed how her hands gripped the candle tightly while she focused her eyes on it. She gave her a worried look and questioned softly. "Bonnie. What are you doing with the candle?"

"Um . . . Nothing." She mumbled quietly, not even sure she knew what she was doing herself. She slowly put the candle on Caroline's bedside table. As she put the candle down, her brown eyes caught sight of an ancient yellow amber crystal necklace. "What's this?" She asked Caroline, taking hold of the shiny crystal and inspecting it out of curiosity.

"Damon gave it to me." Caroline stated, standing up from her chair at her vanity desk and walked over towards the edge of her bed where Bonnie sat. "Or he was going to give it to me. All I know is it's mine now."

"It's ugly." Bonnie commented, distaste laced in her voice as she shared a look with Veronica.

"Well, then get your grubby hands off it." Caroline sneered, grabbing the crystal from Bonnie's hand - who gave her a look of disbelief - and hung it on her coat rack that stood in front of her of the window.
