𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐓. Veronica could feel every ounce of guilt in her blood. Although, she doesn't know where Vicki's body is nor did she kill her but she knew what happened and that guilt and regret is eating her alive.

After the previous night, everyone has been brought in for questioning; requested by Sheriff Forbes as Vicki Donovan has officially been posted as a 'Missing Person'. Every person in Mystic Falls gave a helping hand in finding the eighteen year old but have had no luck so the police has stepped in and brought in friends and family of Vicki.

Veronica and Elena had no choice in the matter but to lie about Vicki's whereabouts to the Sheriff. Damon and Stefan agreed to tell the Sheriff that the young girl has simply left town. They thought it was the best reason seeing as she had always been going missing and showing up days later.

The Harper girl was shocked to say the least when her best friend informed her that after she dropped her off at home last night, Elena requested for Damon to compel Jeremy's memories away. He told the youngest Gilbert that Vicki had ran away and that he shouldn't reach out to her. She didn't want her brother to go through all that pain so she got rid of it.

Veronica understood where Elena was coming from but she also had no right to mess with Jeremy's head like that when he could've made that choice for himself. But she knew Jeremy wouldn't have been able to handle all that grief; she knew the outcomes of that.

Veronica could hear the ticking of the large clock on the wall to her left and the small tapping of her fingers hitting against her leg out of nervousness. The thought of having to sit in front of her best friend's mother and lie right to her face is sending shivers everywhere in her body.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting, Veronica. I promise I won't keep you long." Sheriff Forbes said, walking through the door as she carried a handful of documents, to which the brunette could assume was the notes she took of everyone else's answers. She gently closed the door and offered the young girl a soft smile before taking her seat across the desk.

Veronica gave her a polite smile and kept her hands interlocked together on her lap. "No worries."

"Did Vicki ever say anything to you about where she was going?" The sheriff questioned, holding a pen closely to a blank page on the desk as she got ready to take down Veronica's words.

"No." She muttered as she gently shook her head before continuing. "I don't think she said anything to anyone besides Jeremy. He's the one that told me."
