"That one almost took me out." Kady rubbed her fingers in circles around her temples, groaning as she tried futilely to massage her headache away. "Why did we choose Politics?" She knew the answer to that but still, she'd whine about it as often as she got the chance.

"I'll admit it was pretty terrible, but look on the bright side!" Symphony's loud voice had Kady groaning but Symphony was undeterred. "That was our last exam!" Kady had known of course that it was their final exam, but having it said out loud was different- now looking around the hallways she'd become so familiar with over the last two years left her feeling odd.

"I can't believe we've finished college." Kady sighed as they reached her locker, the motions of her unlocking it bittersweet. "Don't get me wrong- I'm glad, but it's weird; it felt like it'd never end sometimes."

"Mhm, I know what you mean." Symphony leaned against the locker beside Kady's, her eyes scanning the place around them. "Last time I wait for you at your locker."

"Stop, I'm actually getting emotional taking all my stuff out." Kady laughed but it was a little off, clearly a little pained, as she gently took every folder and placed them into her bag.

"I'll miss this." Symphony hummed, leaning her head to one side to watch Kady. "I know we're going to University together, but it'll never be like this again."

"So much has happened too." Kady let out a quiet chuckle as she thought over the past two years. "In this year alone, actually. I'm almost not ready to leave?" Kady zipped up her bag and closed her locker for the final time; her eyes lingered on the lock and she smiled, reaching over to double-check it for the last time.

"Me too, but think of how much fun we'll have in Uni! And because we're sharing a dorm room we'll be together even more than we are now."

"Plus we're in the same course, so all our classes are together. Actually, it's kind of crazy because we'll be together almost all day, every day." Kady paused. "Did I make a mistake?" Symphony smacked her and laughed.

"Don't start." Symphony linked her arm through Kady's as they walked slowly toward the front doors, both taking in their college for the last time.

A warm summer breeze greeted them as soon as they left the doors, the sun shining down on them almost feeling wrong to Kady- it was a relatively sad day for her, yet the day itself looked so cheerful. Kady shook her head at herself. You were so excited for Uni, don't get sentimental now. And yet part of her was worried that with that final exam, everything would change- she'd always have Symphony, but would it be as easy with Lucas and James?

"Hey! How did it go?" James' voice was as loud as always, piercing through Kady's thoughts and bringing her back to reality. She and Symphony hurried their steps to meet the two boys who were waiting past the groups of students talking about exams.

"Ugh." Kady couldn't help the sound. "Politics is by far the worst thing that's ever been invented."

"But it went well! I got through every part of the exam, with time to read everything over- just to make sure." Symphony unlinked her arm from Kady's, stepping over instead to peck James' cheek and link her hand with his. James immediately smiled at her and raised her hand to kiss the inside of her palm.

"...Does that mean that Kady didn't?" Lucas' voice was a little worried and Kady quickly rushed to clarify.

"No, no, I did fine- I mean, I think- I just really hate Politics." Kady laughed. Lucas was appeased by that; he smiled down at Kady as he took a step toward her and wrapped an arm around her waist.
