The Epilogue after The Tragic Event

Years passed, Tom had grown into an adult, who is happily engaged to Luna , with their newborn child they named Sean Jr. They lived far away from Ghostwood, and lived happily in Birch Ville

They went out to a park as Sean Jr. frolicked around the grass happily, as Luna and Tom kept an eye on him.

"I'm wondering where you got the name for Sean Jr." Luna wondered curiously. Tom smiled and sat close to Luna. "I got it from someone brave I used to know." as they continued to chatter, suddenly his phone vibrated. He looked at it, it was a message from Percy. It read:

Hey Tom, how are you doing? I hope you and your wife are alright (assuming that you have one) . I just wanted to ask you if you'd like to meet up at the cafe. If you want to, well I'll see you later!

Tom looked at Luna, "I'm going to the cafe to meet up with someone. Do you mind?"

Luna giggled. "No of course not! I'll keep watch over Sean Jr."

"Thanks, Luna." said Tom and he stood up from the bench and walked away but before he even got far, Luna added a few words to say.

"Make sure it isn't a girl." she said jokingly.

"Of course not, I wouldn't do that to you." Tom snapped, and giggled.

"Well, best be on your way then," as she continued to keep watch on Sean Jr."

Tom left the park and walked around the streets. Why does Percy want me to meet up with him? He wondered curiously.

Sooner or later he arrived at the cafe. He went inside and sat on one of the tables. The cafe was quite noisy with people chit-chatting about their everyday lives. And some were on their computers either doing important work or writing an assignment due date. Percy soon arrived and sat down.

"Sorry I'm late. Traffic was on the way." Percy said as he sat down on the same table as Tom.

"No, I wouldn't mind." Tom responded. "So, how are things going for you?"

"Oh, life is great!" Percy replied "How about you?"

Before Tom could respond the cafe door opened as the bell above it rang. They looked at the door to see who it was, it was a beautiful girl. She was at the cashier's table, she looked quite beautiful in her winter jacket. Percy was awestruck.

"Is it me or is it that life is teasing me again for being single?" Percy muttered to Tom, he tried so hard not to laugh at Percy's misfortune. Then suddenly the girl walked towards them.

"Is there a seat for me?" she asked.

Percy was so confused. Why would she ask them? Then, Tom looked at her, and suddenly recognized her face.

"Lily?" he asked as he looked at her eyes.

"I'm glad you still remembered me, Tom." Lily replied. Percy was stunned, was that really Lily? She looked so different from the last time they saw her. She was even more beautiful too.

"Yeah, please do sit." Percy offered. Lily let out a cute smile and sat down with them.

"So how are you two doing in life?" she asked.

Percy answered, "Oh, it's going well, I'm doing great as a businessman." He felt happy when he said that.

"Oh really, that's great!" Lily complimented him, Percy blushed a little as he heard this. She then looked at Tom, her eyes dazzling from the reflection of the sunshine.

"What about you Tom?" she asked as she looked curiously at him, he replied in a casual manner. "Oh nothing much, living a life with Luna and my kid Sean Jr."

"To be honest, that's a life I would want to have. I wanna take a break from all the fans chasing me all around for being a cute girl."

"What job do you work?" Percy asked, confused by what she's saying.

Lily replied, "Oh I'm a fashion model nowadays."

"Yeah, I remember seeing you in those magazines my wife buys. She wishes to meet you one day." Tom was amazed by Lily's successful career.

"Oh, she does?" she said, surprised. "Well she's in luck today, you're lucky to have been friends with me." she said, smirking. "And i'll mention that part where i-"

"Stop right there!" Tom interrupted her, she laughed at Tom's embarrassed look. "You should've seen your face!" as she continued to laugh at him.

Tom looked away from Lily, she then assured him "Don't worry i won't tell her."

"The past is in the past Tom." added Percy, "I'm sure she wouldn't mind."

Then suddenly someone sat beside them, Mia had arrived, "Sorry i'm late!" She said, "Busy schedule managing my parents' company."

"It's nice to see you after a long time Mia." Tom replied happily

"Wait, that's actually Mia?" Percy said in shock as he looked twice to make sure it was actually her.

"We've grown a lot, so of course we'll look different." Lily said.

"Hey! I'm not that old." Mia said as she pouted childishly, they all shared a laugh.

They continued to chit-chat all day till Tom's phone suddenly rang. It was a message from Luna. it said:

Hey Tom, Are you done yet? Sean Jr. is looking for you!

"You really should go see Sean Jr." said Lily as she was snooping at Tom's phone.

"Y-you saw that!?" he asked loudly.

"We'll get kicked out, so not so loud." whispered Percy loudly.

"Sorry for snooping." Lily said "But we should all go so Tom doesn't feel left out."

"Agreed, let's split." Percy said happily.

The three left the cafe, soon they were outside the streets, where they could hear the cars honking and the people's voices blending in with the noise of the environment, as the sun set behind them.

"Well I guess..." Tom paused for a moment. "This is goodbye."

"Well, not really." Lily assured.

"We'll always be friends." Percy added

"I do wish the others were here to see it." Mia said.

"If they were here, they would be happy." Percy said.

"Well, they are finally free from pain, aren't they? I feel like they're happy up there." Lily assured them both.

"Well, I hope they are happy," he said stupidly.

The group shared a hug and laughed. And after that they split ways.

"Let's cross paths again soon!" Percy shouted.

"We will." Lily said happily. "One day."

"Well, see you guys soon!" Mia said as she looked at them happily, Tom looked back smiling at them, Happy to have kept in touch with his oldest friends after such a long time.

The four soon split ways with their lives. Tom goes back to his wife and child. Percy goes back to making business deals, Lily goes back to being a fashion model and Mia went back to managing her parents' company of computers, As their friends Sean and Jessie who sacrificed their lives for them looked down at them with smiling faces.

The story now concludes as they lived their lives, alive and well.
