Ellie's POV
It's been a couple weeks since Megan and I both came and have been staying in Okinawa.
There still hasn't been much news on my sister's whereabouts, or even the other missing people.
That would also include the headmaster of the academy too. I know I should care more about him disappearing, but at the same time I'm relieved knowing that he can't bother Megan at all.
That doesn't mean I wish anything bad on him of course, but well yeah.
It's also been a week since we went to the hot springs and met those girls. Ever since we left Megan told me about how she felt like something was very off about them. I told her about how their auras didn't reveal anything alarming, but agreed when she said it's probably best to not go to the hot springs for a while.
We also never discussed my joke when I mentioned that she loved me. I mean, I know that she does. Maybe just not her being in love with me? I'm not entirely sure.
The academy also reached out and said that we will all be able to return to the academy and that classes will resume in a couple days, apparently its safe enough again and they have amped up the security to the point of "the guards could literally be the next wall of China".
Liz's wise words lmao.
That reminds me, Liz and just about everyone was back at the campus by now too. So, I got to hear about all of the tea from Liz about how Ms. Raie was going to be the new temporary headmaster, and about how we have a whole buttload of new teachers to fill in until we.... hopefully find our missing ones.
I turned over on the bed, looking at Megan as she watched an episode from F.R.I.E.N.D.S on the TV.
I watched her giggle at all of the funny moments that played out, really taking the time to take in and study her features.
Liz was right. I really am wiped. Megan must have noticed my eyes on her after a while because she paused the show to look over at me.
"What's up babe?" She questioned staring back at me. I just smiled at her, slowly shaking my head.
"Sorry, I just caught up thinking about how beautiful you are." I answered honestly, a big smile instantly playing on her lips.
"Thank you baby, so are you."
I grinned, moving my face towards hers and placing a soft kiss on her lips. I felt her sigh into the kiss, pulling me closer to her, seeming to not be able to get enough.
"Megan." I said as we pulled apart.
"Hmm?" she hummed, slowly opening her eyes to look at me.
I felt myself getting nervous, not being able to say anything. She noticed my pause, lifting my chin to look up at her.
"I'm all ears babe." She encouraged me, giving me a hopeful look.
"I just wanted to say that I-"
Suddenly I was cut off by the doorbell ringing, causing both Megan and I to jump and give each other a questioning look.
"Who could possibly be here?" She said out loud, standing up with me following her. We walked down the hallway and to the video intercom to see who was at the door.
That was one of the nice things I liked about Japan - every place seemed to have these.
I watched as Megan clicked the screen causing it to light up and show us both a man and woman standing at the front door wearing suits.
