Y/n & Astrid are 13.
A young girl is wandering around a forest as dragons attack her village, she couldn't bear watch her people kill the poor creatures so she's leaving her village, but she couldn't leave without telling one person, so she left a note. Saying she was leaving and would come back one day.
Suddenly a dragon jumped out towards her "Adira! don't scare me like that." The girl said getting up and walking as the dragon follows her while walking, she heard a familiar voice and told her dragon to hide looked back to make sure her friend hadn't spotted her and called for her dragon.
"Adira come on we have to hurry Astrids in the forest" the girl said quickly once her dragon came out of hiding, she began to run to the boat she had may or may not have stolen she had everything she needed, in the boat and she put her dragon in the lower part of the boat just in case they were spotted just as she was about to pull up the anchor and let down the sails someone called her name "y/n!!" Y/n looks over to see her best friend and crush Astrid she hops on the boat put down a bag "what are you doing here Astrid!" Y/n says trying to get her friend to go home "I'm coming with you" Astrid says sitting down making the young girl shocked.
Y/n picks up Astrids bag and grabs Astrids arm and drags her off the boat (with a lot of struggle) "no you are not coming with me Astrid" "think about your parents your friends" y/n says pointing in the direction of the village. "Think about your parent's y/n" "my parents wouldn't even notice if i died right in front of them Astrid they don't care." "i care!" Astrid shouts tearing up "but it seems you don't care about me" she adds turning away "i care about you more than anything Astrid because i love you" y/n quietly says getting back on her boat as Astrid turns back to her hearing what she said Astrid runs on the boat making y/n turn as she slams her lips onto y/n y/n kisses back once they pull away y/n says "I'll see you again someday i promise" "I'll be waiting for you" Astrid responds giving one more kiss to her then getting off the boat
Y/n pulls up the anchor and open the sails and sets off looking back teary eyed at the girl she loves waving goodbye Aswell and soon her boat is nothing but a dot far out on the moonlit ocean.
"ill see you again someday I promise..."
