Astrid Pov

Having Y/n back was amazing She's moved in with me and taught us how to calm certain dragons down like death songs whispering deaths Skrill's if you run into one, she's just amazing walking into hiccups hut I hear her laughter and find her hanging out with hiccup "hey babe" i kiss her cheek and she smiles brightly "hey" she responds before turning back to hiccup and continues talking something about medicine and dragon illness's when i realize Y/ns parents they had no idea she was here or even alive

But remembering what Y/n said that night when she left 'my parents wouldn't even notice if i died right Infront of them Astrid they don't care' those words echoed in my head but when i saw her parents when she 'went missing' both Mr. Ragnar and Mrs. Hilda was sobbing because she disappeared i had a feeling, they were faking that day, and that Y/ns home life back then was worse than she was telling me I'm going to have to try my best to keep her away from them

"Oh, we have to tell the village of your return" oh crap Think of an excuse! "Hiccup don't you think we should wait a little before we just throw a missing persons return at them?" I blurt out before i could finish thinking of and excuse "it's been two weeks Astrid i think that's plenty of time" he raises an eyebrow at me before grabbing Y/ns hand and dragging her away before i could say anything I put my head in my hands as now i have to wait until hiccup gathers everyone in berk so he can tell people about her return to tell Y/n her parents are still alive
