Guns for Hunting

Air gun

An air gun or air gun is a type of gun that utilizes energy from compressed air or other mechanically pressurized gases. This energy is then released to propel and accelerate projectiles, operating on a principle similar to a primitive blowgun. The key distinction is that an air gun does not use the exothermic combustion (deflagration) of chemical propellants, like black powder or smokeless powder, which is typical in firearms. Instead, it relies on mechanically pressurized air or gas to achieve projectile propulsion.

BB Gun

A BB gun is a type of air gun specifically designed to shoot metallic spherical projectiles known as BBs. These BBs, distinct from similar-looking bearing balls, are roughly the same size as birdshot used in shotguns (approximately 0.180 inches or 4.6 mm in diameter). Modern BB guns typically feature a smoothbore barrel with a caliber of 4.5 mm (0.177 inches) and use steel balls that measure 4.3–4.4 mm (0.171–0.173 inches) in diameter and weigh 0.33–0.35 g (5.1–5.4 grains). These steel balls are often zinc- or copper-plated for corrosion resistance.

Spear gun

A speargun is a device used for underwater fishing, designed to launch a tethered spear or harpoon to impale fish or other marine animals. It is employed in sport fishing and underwater target shooting. There are two fundamental types of spearguns: pneumatic and elastic, the latter being powered by rubber bands. Various types of spears are available, including threaded, break-away, and lined.

Varmint

A varmint rifle is a precision firearm or high-powered air gun designed for small-caliber shooting. It is primarily used for varmint hunting, which involves eliminating outdoor animals that pose a nuisance or threat to properties, and for pest control to eradicate indoor infestations by destructive species. The main purposes of varmint rifles include dealing with three types of pests or nuisance animals that can spread diseases, destroy crops, or harm livestock.
