Bryce
"Ugh." I sit in my very uncomfortable airplane seat as I scout the area for who I'm looking for, when Griffin said, "Maybe he's just not here, dude." I don't know why he keeps saying stuff like this. He may be my best friend but that doesn't mean he isn't annoying. I seriously don't know why he is my friend, let alone best friend.
"He's on this plane, you want to know why? Because we checked with multiple of my men to make sure he was on board before we took off." We had to sit in economy seats that were about as comfy as a hard, metal chair with cardboard covering it.
I really was starting to rethink my choices of not just switching to first class seats. But then I convinced myself that the man we are looking for would not be in first class. Why are we looking for the man? Because he killed my men, and when anyone touches my men, they're fucked.
We have been waiting for him to show up for 4 hours. Where on the plane could he be? Seriously we checked the whole goddamn plane before we had to buckle in to the seats. You would think that we would notice him because we have only seen him a good 5000 times on tape. But when we looked, nothing.
For some reason my mind keeps wandering to the blonde going through security. I really did think that was Diana, but over the years, I gave up hope of finding her. I told my best men a few years back to find her, but they came to me empty handed. I hated knowing that she was out there somewhere, that the girl who saved my life was somewhere and nobody could find her. That really fucking pissed me off.
"I'm bored." Griffin said. "Don't be, you got a whole flight to be on the edge of you seat looking for Jay." That was the name of the man we came to kill. I say we, because we do everything together. Griffin and Bryce. That's us. The two leaders of one of the biggest Mafia's around. It was hard work running something that big, so we decided to co-run it. We both know that I run it more than he does and I have more respect from my men.
A blonde passes our seats and Griffin bumps me with his shoulder. I look at him as he raises his eyebrows up and down as he grins. Whenever Griffin sees a blonde, he tries to hit on them. Almost always he is successful in getting them. I mean look at him, he could be a super model for Calvin Klein.
I shake my head at him as I watch the blonde go into the bathroom. Big mistake there, never go into an airplanes bathroom. Trust me. I wouldn't be surprised if she walked out of the door right no- she did.
My heart stopped. 2 things happened in that moment. Number 1, I saw her. Diana. The woman I've been looking for since she saved me. I know it was her because she was ingrained into my brain.
Number 2 , I saw Jay behind her pointing a gun at her. I get up from my seat as fast as I can and start running towards her. "Get out of the way!" I screamed at her. Then I heard the gun.
No no no no no no no no no no. Shit! That Fucker. Without thinking, I take my gun out and shoot him point blank in the head. She looks towards Jay and falls to the floor, then starts gasping for air. I've been shot before, and lets just say I never want to experience that again."Griffin!" Where did he go?
All around us, people are freaking out, but i don't care about them, I only care about the woman who fell to the floor. I run towards her and pull her into my lap as I check her wound. I run my fingers along her back softly, as not to hurt her. My fingers immediately get soaked with her blood. Fuck, its worse than I thought. "Your going to be okay Diana."
"Stay with me Diana." I rip my shirt and form a bandage with it. I hold it to her wound tightly. I can tell that she was going to black out. That was good, she wasn't going to feel what i had to do with her. Griffin runs up to me. "Who is that?"
"Shut the fuck up and help me here. I have to get the bullet out." I roll her onto her stomach. "I'm going to have to dig it out." I grab Griffin's hands and put them on the bandage. "You're going to need to let go of the bandage for me to get the bullet out. Once I get the bullet out, immediately put the bandage back on and apply pressure, okay?" I could see him nodding his head quickly.
FUCK! Why her? I needed to calm the fuck down. "Ok, now." He released the bandage and blood started flowing everywhere. I sunk one of my fingers into her flesh until I could feel the metal. I pulled on it until it became loose, then I pulled it out. Griffin put the bandage back on and applied pressure, just like I told him to do.
At this point I was gasping for air, my heart beating out of control, all because of this woman. I double checked she wasn't hurt anywhere else before I called for a bandage from the flight attendant. "You going to tell me who this girl is, Bryce?" Griffin says with a worried look. "You know that girl I told you about, the one that saved my life? This is her." I see the realization dawn on him the moment I said that.
The flight attendant looks at me scared, and gives me a large real bandage. I remove my makeshift one and apply it to the wound. "We have a space in the back that she could rest." The flight attendant said. I immediately picked her up easily and told her to show me. I went behind the curtain to a bed with seats beside it. I laid her down on the bed and sat in the seat next to it, holing her hand.
Another one of my men on board already took the body and hid it. Griffin sat down beside me looking tired. As I look over at him, I realize that he has multiple cuts and bruises on his face, and his usual perfect looking clothes were looking a little disheveled. Well, I didn't have any room to say anything because my clothes looked like I was the one who got shot because there was so much blood on it. "What happened to you?" I ask him.
"Jay wasn't alone. Once you started running, I got up to go see what was happening and some guys grabbed me and took me to the back of the plane. There was a small struggle, but I took care of them." I realized that I was so focused on Diana I didn't even think of my best friend.
"Its okay man, you had to save her, I get it." Griffin said. Whenever I wonder why Griffin's my friend, I always think back to moments like these. I decide to rest my eyes for a bit, but before I knew it, I was asleep.
