"Abby, you can't tell her while I'm gone, promise?" She looks at me and says, "Fine, but you have to tell her when you get back. And don't worry, Griffin and I will make sure nothing will happen to her while your gone."

"Your the best, Abs." She looks at me and smirks. "Go do what you need to do and come straight home, promise?" I look at her relieved and say, "Promise."

Something doesn't sit right with me leaving Diana here without me. I really don't want anything to happen to her, but I have to. Once she came back with my phone, she went to go see the pool.

That's when I got the call from Hunter.

I grab my keys and wallet and head out to my car. I fucking love my car. I get in and start the engine. I push the gas down hard and start driving.

I end up at the safe house 30 minutes later and head inside. "Hunter!" I can hear someone running down the stairs.

"Right here boss." I look at him and say, "Why did you want me here?"

"You might want to sit down for this." We move to the balcony that overlooks the whole city of New York. This view was one of the reasons I bought this safe house. I sit down on the couch and wait for Hunter to start speaking.

"This morning I got a call from Jace, and he told me as he was doing his rounds of the property he saw the exact same girl run different paths around the property.N ormal runners don't do that. I thought that was weird because the same thing happen to one of the other men a week ago."

I narrow my eyes at him. "Did we identify this woman?" This is a little too sketchy to put off and say she was a runner.

"Nope, all we have is a vague description of her. They said she was wearing black and was a light blonde. She was running a hundred feet away, but she was definitely looking at the house."

I try and think why a someone would scout out the property like that. We haven't messed with any other gangs in a month so its probably not that.

Maybe someone just got a little curious of the house. Or maybe she was a spy for someone who wanted to target us. Blonde hair, dark clothes, where have I hear-

"Get inside the house!" I call to Hunter. I know why she was there and I think she came back.

Right then I hear a shot fire at us and into the glass door to the balcony. I think it's a sniper. Fuck. Another shot rang out and she hit next to the outdoor kitchen.

Shit, there's a propane tank in there. If she hits it, we're screwed. I take out my gun and raise my head from behind the couch to try and figure out where the shooter is. Nothing.

I shoot the glass door till it breaks and run inside. I grab Hunter and call Griffin. No answer. I call again. He didn't pick up.

What is wrong with him? I call Abby. She always picks up my calls. It goes straight to voice mail. Somethings wrong. I can feel it.

"We need to get out of here. Someone has been watching the house and waiting  f-

The propane tank blows up outside. The shock wave shattered all the windows within a 20 foot radius. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my arm.

Shit. I look down and see a large glass piece embedded into my shoulder. That's not good. Its going to need stiches as soon as possible. We need to get out of the house now.

" Lets go!" I grab his arm and pull him out to the garage. I get into the g wagon and tell hunter to drive to the other safe house.

He starts driving and I crawl to the back to get the first aid bag. We always keep 2 in every vehicle in case something like this happens to anyone.

I grab the needle and thread and get to work. I push the needle through my shoulder and grit my teeth. I learned how to sew stiches in my  first aid class. I have used the skill numerous times in my life when I have saved my men from dying.

I tie off the thread and put a bandage on. I crawl back to the passenger seat and try to call Abby again. Nothing.  Why the fuck isn't anyone picking up. I turn to Hunter.

"Change the route to my house now." Without a second thought, he does a one eighty and drives faster.

20 minutes later we show up at the house and I run up to the front door. The last time I did this was when I had Diana in my arms.

I open the door. "Griffin! Abby! You in here?" They said that they would stay in the house. I start walking around. Maybe they are outside in the pool. I walk up to the window. Nope.

I run upstairs and see that my door is wide open. I walk inside and go into my closet. I immediately notice that one of my hoodies are missing.

I also notice Diana's clothes on the floor. I narrow my eyes. Did she steal my hoodie? A smile appears on my face at the thought.

I look up and that's when I notice the blood. Little droplets going from my closet to outside of my room. I follow them and they lead me all the way into Abby's room. That's when I see a puddle of blood in the middle of her floor.

My breath catches in my throat. There is blood smeared on the wall. They are clearly letters but I can't make out any of them.

If anyone hurt Abby, their entire family is good as dead. Nobody fucks with my family.

"Bryce!" I hear Hunter call me from downstairs. I run to him as he shows me a necklace. I know that necklace.

"That's Diana's necklace."
