Dr. Miller has finally learned how to use Zoom.

Thank yuh fada God.

No matter how much degree di doll have, di old age did a hold muma back.

Di baby boomer dem refuse fi become tech savvy.

Me nuh know a wah do dem enuh.

Because technology was not her strong front, I had to do that trek guh ova Spain Town every week fi therapy, unable to use telecommunication to my advantage.

What to do?

Virtual sessions were not an option.

Well, not until now.

"Okay Camiile," Dr. Miller states, struggling to unmute herself.

Half an hour aguh, she couldn't even find di button.

Look how me a laugh afta di poor woman.

"Why do you think you're handling the situation with Andre the way you are?" her voice brings me back to reality.

Because me a plot me owna downfall.

Andre and I haven't spoken since I left his house Saturday night, he sent a quick text to check in if we reached home safely, but that was it since it.

Radio silence since then, and a fimi fault.

Him muss sick and tired a me.

I sit with her words for a bit, my mic muted as I mumble a few thoughts out loud.

With the shift to virtual, I get to do our sessions in the comfort of my home. It felt more sheltered here, which helped to make me more vulnerable.

More honest with Dr. Miller, and myself.

"I think...well you know I am in my late twenties, and since I can remember I've always felt scared when good things happen to me" I begin to say, fighting back tears.
