Down the path, triangle building.
His hands are bloody, the rain is just barely washing it off in slow red drips. His breathing is heavy and exhausted, Henry hasn't stopped moving since Leon was taken. He's killed so many villagers he's lost count, his shirt is stained red. All he smells is blood. Like iron and death.
"Down the path, triangle building," Henry says to himself, repeating it as a sort of motto. Focusing not on what's happening, but on talking. Down the path, triangle building.Henry has never realized just how awful he feels when Leon isn't with him, he feels weak. Like there's no point to him, he's useless. Pathetic. And he kills, more than he does when Leon's by his side. He broke open a stranger's skull who helped him, then watched as blood spilled out of his head. He doesn't feel that sense of pity he does when with Leon, that sense of guilt for taking someone's life. It's all gone, he doesn't feel anything. Just hatred.
As he continues walking he starts to struggle breathing, panting, and hyperventilating as he looks all around him. There's nothing. I'm alone. Nobody's here. They're dead. I'm Dead. Henry keels over, a hand on his chest as he tries to breathe he gets a call, from Hunnigan.
"Finch? Finch, do you read me?" She asks as he dissolves into himself. His entire body unable to work he just barely stutters,
"I... I'm h-here..."
"What's happened are you alright?" Hunnigan asks, immediately hearing the panic in his tone.
"Is... Leon is L-Leon. Is he dead...?" Hunnigan brushes off the implications of the question to check on Leon's status. Henry and Leon both have monitors of their health in their earpieces.
"His bio-mon says he's fine. His BPM is lower than usual, he must be asleep. He looks to be nearby. Why what happened?"Henry breathes a bit better, He's alive. He's fine. I'm okay. He just needs help. "N-nothing... I'll call you... Back." Henry then ends the call, slapping himself until he stands back up. He just needs to move. He's somewhere nearby. Henry keeps walking down another closed-in path, shoulder-height rock walls enclose the trail. Like a trench Henry can't see anything beyond them, the foliage is too dense. But after a bend in the path, Henry finally sees the building,
"Triangle building," Henry mumbles to himself, sneaking closer to the strange house. With his knife in hand, Henry walks around the structure, finding a cellar door on the ground behind it. But a man is guarding it, Henry stands behind a tree before whipping out his bow he peaks out. He slides an arrow into place before pulling back the string, he steadies his breathing before letting the arrow fly. And it goes straight through the man's head—the arrow lodging itself into the wooden slats behind him.
Henry runs up to the body with haste, kicking it out of the way before he looks back down at the door. The two rusted handles are chained together, but the wood is so old and weathered that Henry just stomps through it. Within seconds Henry's inside the building, rotting wood shattered all over the dirt floor of this unknown room.
It's too dark to see past the opening, a beam of daylight illuminating a small section of the floor. The shadows surrounding him make him nervous, Henry takes his knife out and stands guard—ready for any would-be attackers. Henry's listening, Henry hears nothing besides the slight rain outside and the sound of his own breathing.
Henry's forced to stumble into the shadows, one arm outstretched in front of him and the other holding his knife. Henry walks into a wall of sorts, his hand sliding against something cold and rock-like. Henry runs his fingers across the surface, searching for a light switch on the off chance this place has power.
Henry instead finds himself touching a shelf, objects are on it that Henry can't recognize by touch. Some are soft, some are hard, and some might just be his mind making stuff up. But what he does notice is a long tube-like tool, Henry picks it up, feeling around for a button when he finds it.
