September 1
I wake up and get out of bed putting on my robe. I go to walk to the bathroom when I hear noise coming from the kitchen. I grab my gun walking out my bedroom into da living room aiming my gun seeing my mother.
"What are you doing here?" I ask her putting the safety on my gun.
"Is that anyway to greet your mother?" She ask.
"Hello mother, what are you doing here?" I ask her walking up to the counter.
"I haven't heard from you in a while." She says.
"I've been busy." I say.
"Busy avoiding me." She says.
"Busy with work and law school." I say to her.
"Not too busy I hear." She says.
"Meaning?" I ask her.
"A friend of mine saw you talking to some guy at the club a few weeks ago." She says.
"She saw me talking to someone, so what." I say to her.
"You've been with this guy more than once." She says.
"So in other words you're keeping tabs on me." I say to her.
"Your father and I was curious about the young man that was keeping you company." She says.
"You guys could've just ask." I say.
"Would you have been honest with us?" She ask.
"Of course, I'm not a kid anymore." I say to her.
"So who is he?" She ask.
"He's a guy that I met while Angela and I were out." I say.
"No name?" She ask.
"His name is Zac." I say.
"So, when will your father and I get to meet him?" She ask.
"You won't." I say.
"If you're worried about us judging him don't be, you know how I met your father." She says.
"It's not that." I say.
"Then what is it?" She ask.
"I haven't heard from him in a couple of days." I say.
"What's a couple of days?" She ask.
"Two weeks." I say.
"So he got what he wanted and then disappeared." She says.
"We had a mutual agreement, he didn't use me or anything we both knew what it was. I just thought he would, I don't know what I thought." I say sighing.
