WARNING: WEAPONS,VIOLENCE, AND STRONG WORDS
Metrolis City is a place where dreams can come true and is one of the biggest cities in the world. Many said it's the birthplace of many big-time celebrities who are famous nationwide.
Inside the city, a young man with black hair who wore a long-sleeved white polo, a dark gray tie, and black pants and shoes stood in front of a large building that reached the sky with the logo of a camera, and paper was visibly seen located at the middle.
He watched people in and out of the large building as he tried to calm his breath and nervousness. Adjusting the black glasses he wore he slowly walked inside with a nervous smile plastered to his face. When he entered, he was awe-struck by the sight of the grand design of the lobby, adorned with colorful silver light and expensive-looking furniture, it was too much for a newcomer to the city to see that kind of stuff.
"Hello sir, welcome to the Metrolis News Publication Company, or what we like to call it MNPC. How can I help you?"
The young man was still awe-struck by the sight of the lobby, but quickly recomposed himself as he saw a female employee who wore a black long-sleeve vest sitting at the back of a counter.
"Y-yes, I'm here as an Intern...?" the young man said in a nervous voice, however, it was more of a question than an answer.
This made the female employee tilt her head in slight confusion at the statement the young man uttered but still kept a neutral face and tapped on the keyboard in front of her. It took nearly a minute to finish what the employee was doing before she looked back at the nervous man with a smile.
"Ha, yes, Oscar Dillon, you have an appointment with one of the publication managers as a photojournalist. Am I correct?"
The young man named Oscar only nodded in response remembering what was said on the resume he had gotten before coming here. With that confirmation, the female employee stood up and pointed to one of the elevators near the hall.
"Please come follow me."
The young man then followed the receptionist inside the elevator as it moved upward upon entering it. While inside, the young man couldn't help but sweat nervously as he imagined what would happen when upon meeting the manager.
"Fufufu, you're not from around here aren't you?" the one who broke off his nervousness was the receptionist who asked him in a friendly tone.
Seeing what the employee was trying to do, he only smiled before replying.
"Y-yes, I just arrived here yesterday and got to say the city is as grand as the rumors said."
This only made the female employee smile once more. "Glad to hear that, I hope you enjoy your time here while working."
"Thanks." The man sheepishly smiled.
"But, you should be careful." The employee suddenly changed her friendly tone to a more serious one making Oscar look at the woman in confusion but stopped when he heard a loud ding. Seconds later, the door of the elevator opened and both stepped out and walked through another hallway.
"W-what do you mean I should be careful?" asked Oscar in nervousness.
"Well...you see. The city upholds its title as the city of dreams, but every dream has its nightmares. There is a Mafia family who control the underworld of the city, and they're the most powerful group in this city, even the police department can't arrest them due to the lack of evidence."
The employee explained but saw the young man shaking in fear, this only earned him a patted on the back by the female employee.
"But don't worry, as long you don't bother them or meddle in their business, you'll be safe."
