Stan

I give it all I have for these two, and I know they don't understand what I'm going through, but it just hurts that they don't see it...

"Bingo, could you please let go of my tail? It hurts." I asked her gently.

"Oh? Why does your tail hurt?" She said, now rubbing my tail.

"It..." I didn't know if I could bring myself to hurt the little heeler, she is only four...

"Cmon Stan, you can tell me." She said now hugging my tail and kissing it, hoping to make it better. Tears started to swell in my eyes which Bingo caught onto.

"I'm sorry am I hurting you?" Bingo panicky let go of me tail. She really cared about me, I needed to be honest with my sisters.

"No Bingo, you may still play with my tail, but be gentle okay?" I said, "Bluey, can you c'mere please?" I asked her, she sat down.

Bingo let go of my tail, seeing how I was serious about my actions, she sat next to Bluey.

"Girls... I know I have been mean lately, and I'm sorry." They two heelers looked at each other, "I want you to know it isn't because of you. It is something that's going on at school."

"Stan?" Bingo asked, "Yes Bingo?"

"Y-your tails is..." She stammered, I noticed quickly, my tail was red and dripping with blood.

Bingo started to cry and ran to mum and dad, did she think she did this?

"Bingo, please wait! It isn't..." I started, but curled into a ball and wept as Bluey walked over to me.

"Stan... Did other dogs do this?" Bluey asked me, I nodded my head.

"They always do this, check my fur..." I told my sister, she gasped as she opened my fur to find cuts and bruises on my skin below.

"Stan... They do this everyday?" She asked me, "Yes Bluey, they do. I go to school worried, and come back from it hurt and broken." I told her, being honest with my sister. Bingo had actually come back in the midst of Bluey seeing my scars, and ran up to me.

"Ah Bingo!" I said, the little red heeler wrapped herself around me. "Stan I'm sorry!" Bingo said crying, "I'm so sorry..." Bingo and I embraced each other, while Bluey joined. The three of us didn't break it, and I said, "I'm sorry girls... I just wish I had somebody to love."

The girls let go and looked at me, "As much as I hate myself." They turned to each other and brightly spoke, "Then we will!" They rushed off to grab the first aid kit without mum and dad noticing, and began relentlessly taping up my wounds, and giving me medical attention that they didn't know how to use.

These two little girls didn't know anything about this, and yet they still tried to protect me and help me heal...

What have I been doing with myself!? These two little girls who I call my sister's are all that I will ever need!

I grabbed them both and hugged them, they giggled as they got snatched by their brother.

"I love you, thank you" I said in a calming voice. They turned around and embraced me back.

"We love you too Stan..."

Bingo looked up at me, "You are our family Stan, we want to help you in any way we can." She told me, for four years old, the pup was smart.

"Thank You Bingo... Thank you for everything." I told the little heeler, she started to cry a bit, so did Bluey.

The three of us sat there, me still covered in bandages, and hugged for a good five minutes.

These two are my world, and I will protect them with everything I have.
