chapter 8:

Lilys pov

"Tell me instead of acting like a bratty child." he said sternly turning me to him. "Well could things its a childish reason so it can go with my attitude!" I spat trying to yank my wrist from his grasp. "Fine if you can't even tell a friend you might as well tell nobody" he said simply letting me go. "You wouldn't understand..." I said quietly letting tears cascade my face. I turned to open the door. "If something about family, I can... My father walked out on us when I was eight, and my mother died four years earlier..." He explained still starring at me with an icey gaze. I sighed. "Like i said Its childish." I said turning to him. I was still in my cheer uniform so messed with my skirt a bit. He leaned against a wall and nodded for me to go on. "When I was born my parents left me with nannies after nannies. Whenever my birthday was coming around. They would come for a week or two then leave. They were never there. They never have been. Guess they like being gods than they like spending time with their own daughter. So for the 16th time im spending my birthday yet again without my parents... the only person that i have that is close to me is rosalinda." I said sitting on the little counter in the closet. I had stopped crying but I was now just really depressed. "If your parents can't care enough to come to your birthday, maybe you should forget about it because they seem not worth the tears." He said rubbing my shoulder. I smiled slightly. "Thank you. Maybe they arent..."I said looking into his eyes. "I'm always here if you need to talk" he smiled returning the gaze to me. Just before he left he pecked my forehead and left the closet leaving me be. I stayed frozen in my place for what felt like forever. I hopped off the counter and walked out the door.

As I was in my room watching batman I thought about having a party for just my friends and I. You know what! I will! I texted everyone in advance that my party will be in four days. I saved luein for last wanting to keep his and my conversation a little longer. (Lil-lilly L-luein)

Lil: hey! :p

L: greetings!

Lil: wyd?

L: finishing me and my brothers home work, you?

Lil: watchin batman and inviting people to my birthday party in about 4-3 days ;)

L: sounds nice, what time will it be starting? ^^

Lil: around three-ish and its a sleep over so bring your pj's! ^.^

L: uh okay lol :)

Lil:im bored! you wanna come over and watch a movie? :D

L: hmm, sure I just got done with work so why not :]

Lil: yaaaay! See ya in a few!

With that I jumped off my bed and ran to the screening room getting things ready. I heard a knock on the door and I ran to it trying to make myself look presentable. I opened the door and saw luein. "Greetings lily" he smiled walking in. "Hi!" I said smiling,"right this way!" I took his hand and brought him to the screening room. He looked around, "hmmm, neat" he snickered. I plopped down in one of the theater like chairs. "So what movie you wanna watch?" I asked curiously not being my preppy self but my casual self. "I don't really mind, you choose" he said smirking. I thought for a second and an idea came into mind. "How about batman? The one with scarecrow!" I said with a triumphant smile. "Yes!" He said loudly, "i-i mean sure" he said scratching the back of his neck. I giggled hopping up and searching through the movies then popping the disc in. I sat back down in my seat and patted the one next to me looking at luein smiling. He sat next to me smirking as the movie started.

We were halfway through the movie and I was watching intently and eating the popcorn that rosalinda gave us a while ago. he seemed really into the movie and didn't notice that his arm was around my shoulders. (Lol ik but gotta speed it up)
I blushed and continued looking at the movie. Wondering what it'd be like to kiss him. I blushed even harder at the thought. My gaze wondered from the gigantic screen to his lips. He didn't notice much and continued watching the movie. I kept my legs close together and looked away and back to the screen. The movie was close to ending. I glanced at him but quickly looked away trying to shake off my thoughts. "are you alright? you keep starring at me" he smirked still looking at the movie. "Uh yeah! Sorry..." I said as calmly as I could. I was a little surprised he noticed. I looked down letting my hair cover my face as I bit my lip still trying to shake the thoughts off. "What ya' thinkin' about?" He looked to me a second then back to the movie. My eyes widened. "N-nothing!" I said a little stuttery. "Are you sure? I'm trained to know when something's up" he snickered still not looking at me. "U-uh yeah..." I said pressing my legs together even tighter and tried to concentrate on what was left of the movie. Why am I acting like this!? I thought to myself as the other thoughts slowly faded. He snickered and muttered a okay. The movie came to an end and I mentally sighed with relief. "Well that was a good movie!" I said happily. "It was!" Luein laughed looking at me. I smiled and my eyes darted from his eyes to his lips for a split second. "Well you wanna do anything else? I got a xbox 360." I said getting up and gesturing to the system. "Sure! Might as well make some sort of bet on it though" he laughed wiggling his eyebrows. I giggled. "What kind of bet we talking about?"I asked raising a brow and crossing my arms. "Hmmm, how about we load up call of duty black ops 2 and load up one in the chamber, we go three rounds and whoever wins each round gets five bucks per win?" He explained his smirk growing. I shrugged. "Fine with me." Only he didnt know im a master at one in the chamber.
