Another day, another slay.
Literally.I looked at my knife, the warm crimson liquid dripping down its blade entranced me.
"It's fascinating how colorful pain can be," I muttered, lifting my mask up only slightly so the bottom half of my face was exposed, "Such a beautiful red, tainted with the screams of agony, love and..." I licked the blood, "... Alcohol." I sighed, putting my mask back on before glaring down at the body of the criminal I've just killed, "Drinking is bad for you, it makes your insides taste bad."
The sirens started becoming louder. I sighed, walking away from the murder I've just committed.
Right as the police came in I sat in the windowsill, not even looking at them."Hands up where I can see them!" One of the police men shouted, pointing his gun at me.
I just chuckled in response, blowing him a kiss, "Goodbye, mister officer~" I said, waving at them before letting myself fall out of the window, my laughs echoing through the night.
But when they checked, I was nowhere to be found. My heels clicked on the stone as I walked down the street, my black dress having become a little short over the years, but still long enough to cover my ass.
"Beautiful scene, per usual," I heard a familiar gruff voice beside me.
I turned my head to see a male figure leaning against the brick wall, mostly hidden by the shadow of the lantern. He was smoking, had stitches, messy brown hair, and was wearing a trench coat as well as a white and green striped scarf."Liu."
"Jennifer."
He repeated my name back to me, walking out of the alleyway and towards me, the smoke swirling up from his cigarette.
"It's been a while, gorgeous," he muttered, taking a drag from his cigarette and blowing the smoke out in my face.I raised my knife to his neck, "Don't even think about it, mister. Or I'll have you end up just like Jeffrey."
He mockingly raised his hands, taking a step back with a smirk curling his lips up. "Oh no, I'm so scared!" He laughed.
I sighed, rolling my eyes and pulling my knife back. "I'm going home," I told him before turning around and walking down the street.
But, of course, Liu being Liu, he followed suit. "Can't let a lady walk alone at this hour, it's dangerous."
This time it was my turn to laugh, "Darling, I am the danger." He laughed along with me, "If you say so, beautiful."
We stayed quiet for a while, walking down the street and listening to the whispers of the wind.
"Have you ever thought about leaving?" Liu suddenly asked me. I looked up at him, furrowing my eyebrows, "What do you mean?"
"Y'know, this place holds a lot of... Bad... Memories. Why don't we move to Willow Creek?"I stopped in my tracks, crossing my arms as I turned to look at Liu, "You want to visit Jeffrey in Willow Creek Psychiatric Hospital, don't you?"
He stayed quiet, making a dead giveaway.
"You promised me to leave him be. We both know he's in a better place now, one that can help him change back to the old Jeff!"
"Jane, he's still my brother," he told me, turning back to look at me. "And he's the killer of our families!" I reminded him.
But that look he gave me, it made me reconsider.
I sighed, rolling my eyes, "Fine, but only if you let me get into that prison and kill at least two assaulters, four rapists and five serial killers!"
He chuckled, "You can burn them all into crisps, dance on the ashes of the shells of what they used to be, and I'd be fine with it."It was a deal.
That night we left our hometown, the place where Jeffrey ruined our lives, and where our childhood lies. Well, mine lies here, those of the Woods somewhere else which now that I think about it, shouldn't have left given it all went wrong when they got here.
Willow Creek doesn't know what to expect, they'll be unprepared for the two killer vigilantes moving in.
