"They close to unearthing the scythe of quakes" Wu stated as we peered over the rock.

"Remember, do not use the weapon, for its power-" Wu continued

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's too much for us mortals. Alright guys let's chop socky this lemonade stand. Cole, you got the plan" Jay interrupted Wu.

I heard a light footstep and whipped my head around to see Kai sneaking over the boulder.

"Sure do. First, we lower ourselves down the ledge, then we-" Cole stopped looking around," Where is Kai?"

They peered around struggling to find him. Zane looked down at me and saw me peering intently in the direction of a red figure, my eyes following it's every move. He nudged Jay and Jay nudged Cole. They all saw Kai slipping around rocks avoiding being seen by the skeletons.

"Ugh let's go" Cole groaned, leaping down with Jay and Zane on their tale. Leaving me alone with Master Wu.

I was aware of them leaving but I kept my gaze locked on Kai. Wu took notice, and I felt his gaze rest on my small attentive form. His gaze rested on my neck eyeing the Blueish-purple burn that was a little lighter but still very painful. It felt like I stepped on a Lego... but with my throat.

"Come, we must move I have a feeling they won't come back in the same place, young dragon" Wu stated calmly.

I was about to follow when what he said hit me. I looked at him with a smile that said 'please-don't-kill-me?'.

"Not to worry child I won't tell them, especially Cole" He chuckled at the last part.

I relaxed a bit, but still a little weary. We continued to the new spot on the opposite side of the caves where the skeletons were mining. After we stopped, he sat down and pat the spot beside him,

"I assume you are curious of how I knew" Master Wu said as I sat down beside him.

I nodded.

"Like how I can feel the elemental power in the four ninjas, I can feel a great ancient power within you, familiar to a dragon's power." He took a sip of tea, "Though dragons do have elemental magic there were very few that could morph into a human, and only one out of those very few had an elemental power."

I tilted my head listening intently.

"That element was thought to be the guardian of something, but even I don't know what it was. It was a closely guarded secret kept between only between the dragon shifters and the First Spinjitzu Master. After the serpentine war it was thought that the guardian was struck down in battle for, she disappeared, and the other dragon shifters were also thought to be struck down. So, the secret was lost" Wu explained then took another long sip of tea.

"I never thought I would see another dragon shifter again, and I assume my brother thought the same till he found you." Wu finished gesturing to my neck, "do not fret for the burn will heal in time."

I thought back to my father, how he said never to go beyond the yard and if I did not to trust just anyone I met. For there were corrupted dragon shifters out there.

I remember his body lying in a pond of water that was in our back yard with the water quickly growing darker to a crimson color instead of its usual clear sheen.
