Birdsong filled my ears as I rubbed my eyes, unsure of how much time had passed. The bright light of a fully risen sun attacked my unaccustomed eyes as I sat up from the rocky ground. After I finally managed to blink away the sleep from my eyes, stood up shakily, stretching from the uncomfortable bed of rocks I'd slept on. I looked down at my bruised legs, Pondering about my next move when a soft glistening caught the corner of my eye. Looking towards the entrance of the small cave, I saw a couple fish, seemingly untouched lying dead on the floor and my stomach dropped. Yes I was starving but where the FUCK did those come from?!

Stumbling outside the cave I looked around, trying to spot any signs of civilisation that might've left some fish around but I saw nothing. Only a slightly less dense fog lingering in the trees and the sea menacingly surrounding the island. Sighing, I began walking down the steep him from the clearing around the cave while wondering about that creature I had encountered yesterday. Of course with something like that, no one would want to live on this island but it was just so- intriguing. I remember my mother telling me stories of dragons big and small of all shapes and sizes. She even gifted me a book of dragons which I secretly read until the dead of night, exploring all the secrets of these dangerous yet seemingly majestic beasts. But not once did I read anything about a dragon like that.

A dragon with 3 eyes on each side of its head, massive wings- maybe multiple? Beautiful shining grey and white scales, sharp teeth, dangerous acid and- fog. God Iv never heard of any kind of dragon which could spew fog... not only as camouflage but to hunt as well? Damn it was impressive. If only humans were able to have such beautiful and fierce features. Then maybe I wouldn't have to live my life hiding in fear of people and dragons alike.
Shaking myself out of my thoughts, I crouched down silently, collecting sticks, leaves, dry grass and a couple small logs in order to start a fire. Realising I also needed to somehow protect myself, I also decided to look for a big stick and a sharp flint which I could tie on to form a makeshift spear and probably no less than about 2 hours later I had gathered my supplies. Although messy and unsturdy, the spear gave me a slight confidence that I didn't have before and I explored the woods without shaky hands or worried, darting eyes. I even managed to stumble across a wild berry bush which looked safe to eat so of course I gorged myself in the delicious looking purple berries.

Making my way back towards the cave, thankfully not losing my way as the fog was considerably less thick than yesterday, I adjusted my loot, thinking to myself that maybe living in the wild wasn't so bad. As I tracked up the steep rocky  hill towards my temporary den, I panted but finally I arrived at my destination as the hill flattened. But when I looked up towards the cave I had claimed as my home, 3 pairs of sky blue eyes stared back at me and I froze.
The dragon was barely 3 meters from me, teeth and claws unsheathed and wings spread. Ready to pounce.

~sorry for short chapterrrr I'm not rlly a good writer and also I completely forgot abt this book but I might get into writing since I don't have much to do this summer!!
