I swear I've been sleeping for 2 days straight, I did go play for like 2 ish hours by the cafe yesterday but came home and immediately curled up on the sofa with Grey's and fell asleep. I'm meeting with Oliver today, Taylor adores the kid but I'm still a little nervous. I called my dad about it yesterday and he was so happy for me, he told me he's coming out to NY in a few days for the premiere for his new movie which I am so excited about I haven't seen him in 3 months. It's around 11:30am right now and I have to leave in the next hour if I wanna get to this meeting on time. Luckily I don't look too shabby, I did take a shower after my nap yesterday so at least my hair smells like lavender and isn't greasy. It takes me about 15 minutes to choose an outfit, I end up with a pair of black slacks, a turtle neck and a plaid sweater vest, I'll probably throw on a coat on the way out. My blowout from last night is still intact so I just touch up my bangs and call it a day. Needing to look put together, I actually do my makeup properly today. Despite the amount of caffeine I consumed this morning my hands don't shake too much and my eyeliner look sharp. Thank god. Looks like I'm having a good lash day too. I have a small pimple on my forehead that I quickly cover with some concealer and it looks like it was never there. However, despite the 2 days of sleep and 14 layers of concealer, my eye bags are still ever so present. But not everything can go my way so oh well.

I'm running up the street to the cafe, my train was delayed so now I'm gonna be late, do I have a car? Yes but who actually drives in New York? So now I'm sprinting it up the street, I'm pretty sure I look mad. I'm sure Oliver would understand if I simply told him my train was delayed but first impressions are too big of a deal to me. I make it to the cafe with 2 minutes to spare, so I ruffle out my hair, smooth down my coat before walking into the cafe. I scan the room as I push the door, Oliver is sitting at a corner both he waves me over.

"Hiiii," he greets me standing up and giving me a hug.

"It's so nice to meet you, Taylor raves about you," I say as I sit down opposite him.

"I love Taylor, thank god she hasn't told you the embarrassing stories from my teen years. She was always more of an older sister to me than one of my dad's friends considering we really aren't that far apart in age."

"You're 22 right? That's not much younger than ME and I might ask her for those stories now that I know she has some,"

"I am and please don't, if I'm going to work for you I'd rather you not know about the embarrassing and stupid things I did as a teenager."

I laugh. I like him already.

"Alright so what should we discuss?" I ask clearly a little inexperienced.

"We can start with what you're looking for and what direction your music and your brand is going in," he replies, opening a notebook and twirling a pen around his finger.

The meeting went extremely well, Oliver explained to me what he could bring to the table as my manager and we talked a lot about my media image and how I want to portray my character to the public. With him being 22 we are pretty much on the same page about 90% of things and that is more than enough. I told him that I'd get back to him by tonight although to be fair I've pretty much already made up my mind, although I do want to talk to Taylor a little beforehand.

It's 6:00 by the time I'm making my way back to my apartment, I can't be bothered to cook tonight so I drop by the italian place on the way home. It's a pretty night so I decide to walk, the chilly air turning my nose pink despite my scarf wrapped up high. I dial Taylor's number, hopefully having a conversation with distract me from the cold.

"Hey! How'd it go?"

"Amazing, he was so well prepared we had a good conversation on what I wanted and what he was able to do for me, I think he's perfect,"

"Well that's great, so have you told him yet?"

"Not yet, I told him I would get back to him by tonight, but I wanted to update you first, see what you think,"

"Babe, I think go for it 100%, I know he's a good kid well- at least professionally."

"Alright thank you, I will call him now. Bye Taylor,"

"See ya,"

The call to Oliver was quick and easy. He was esastic that I hired him although that was never really questioned. He told me to send him a list of my top priorities currently and he will get started. He says he'll outline both short and long term plans when we next meet up which will likely be in the next week or so.

Finally my life is pulling itself together.
