"Yuuki's POV"
Weeks have passed and still no sign of Legacy's parents. Where could they be? All this is driving me nuts. I can't concentrate on anything. I get up and go to the portrait room and go to my late mate, Hitomi's, portrait and light a candle and then kneel before her portrait.
"Hitomi, it's been a long time. How are things up in Heaven? Things have not been going well here. Myra's mate, Legacy's parents have disappeared and despite all efforts to find them, they seem to have vanished into thin air. Even I can't see them anywhere. I've looked in all the realms and all the possible places they could have gone. Nothing. It's like they ceased to exist. I'm in a real bind. Whenever I had these problems, I would go to you and you solve it as if there was no problem at all. I miss being able to do that but I know that even though the main curse was reversed, the curse that was not cast by Ida didn't disappear. That curse is what keeps you in your grave and sadly, as is written, that is where you must stay. I must go now. The search parties will be returning soon for a full report. Sayonara, Hitomi."
I pay my respects to my mother then I leave the portrait room and go to the main hall where Legacy is waiting for me.
Once the search parties have reported in and switched with the vampires, I will be departing for Aurbai to visit my uncle and his son Akiko. It has been many years since I have been to Aurbai. I have missed those days from my childhood.
I shouldn't dwell on the past. It won't change anything.
The search parties have returned and while the rest leave to eat and bath, the leaders enter the main hall and kneel before me and Legacy.
"Did you find anything today, gentlemen?" I ask, with a hint of hope just threatening to come out.
"I am sorry, Your Majesty. Yet another failed day. There doesn't seem to be any trace of them. This may very well be impossible, Your Majesty."
Maybe he was right but no matter what, we had to find them. Legacy and Myra can't get married if her parents aren't there to see it like they were for Lexus' wedding.
"Thank you, gentlemen, for all your hard work. Rest and eat. The vampires will take over now."
I dismiss the leaders who go to join their comrades in the mess hall and then the showers.
My vampire party leaders appear before me and I give them the usually instructions.
Find Legacy's parents and bring them back.
I send my vampires off and then I go to my chambers to see how my luggage was coming along. Everything I had requested be packed was done so to perfection. I went into my closet and dressed in my travel clothes and put on my silver cloak woven from the purest moonbeams. I signal for my luggage to be taken down to the carriage as I follow behind with Legacy by my side as I give her instructions as to what to do while I was gone. Once we arrived at the carriage, Legacy kissed my lips and then lifted me into the carriage and signaled for the driver to depart. I wave at Legacy as the carriage pulls away from the carriage port.
The drive to Aurbai is long but certainly not boring. There are different things to see as you travel passed. I, however, not being in the mood to sight see, buries my nose in a book and read until we arrive are to at the Aurbai Royal Palace.
Several Hours Later....
The carriage pulls up several hours later in front of the massive Aurbai palace. This palace was so big, you had to put all my castles together to even begin to compete with the size of this palace. I don't mind, however. The royal family of Aurbai had been family for many years, since my great great great great great great grandmother's time. One of her sons married into the Aurbai Royal Family. I still look back at that day and watch it with enthusiasm .
The carriage pulls to a stop in front of the doors leading into the Royal Palace and Akiko opens the door and helps me out and then gives me a hug. I return his hug. Akiko is one of my dearest cousins. And that is saying something considering that I have over 200 cousins from various sides of the family.
Akiko and I walk through the palace until we reach a large throne room where Akiko's father is sitting on his gilded throne. "Uncle Aziz, it has been too long since the last time we saw each other." I say as I walk up onto the throne and give my dearest uncle a hug and a kiss. Uncle Aziz returns the hug and kiss and then rises and takes me and Akiko to my bed chambers which are much larger than all my bed chambers put together.
"We'll talk later. For now you must rest as the journey here is long and tortuous." Uncle Aziz says and I nod as they leave the room and I dress into something lighter and then get into bed and drift off into sleep.
~~~~Sorry for the long wait. I've been having inspiration issues lately. Writer's block if you will. Anyway, I'm thinking of taking this book one or two possible three more chapters then ending it. I like this story but I want to move onto my other stories and start a new one surrounding Ameila and Kyouya's daughter, Wynter, when she is an adult. She has a mate but, I'll tell you this much at least, the mate gets killed by the other main character. The mate wasn't that important. So, anyway, vote, comment or whatever and enjoy!!!~~~~~~
