After Max and Lucas exchanged numbers, his friends has been asking more about them. Lucas thought that he got more feelings for Max ever since that night. They talked a few times during call, and hang out with his friends and Max's friends. Things has been going good between them.
“ Dude just get over it already and ask her out. ” Mike told Lucas. The entire group was over at Mikes, playing some games. “ It's true, just go for it. ” Dustin said. “ I'm not sure, what if she says no, and all of a sudden in love with El? ” “ Then find a Suzie, like how I did. ” Dustin let out. “ Gross. She's weird. ” Mike didn't like Dustin and Suzie since they're so smart together, but he immediately took it back when Dustin kicked him.
Lucas looked over at his phone, hesitating. He grabbed his phone, and opened Max's contact.

I was thinking somewhere around 5:15? If you're free at that time.

Max turned off her phone, going back to Her and El's conversation. “ Who was it? ” El asked.“ Oh, just the guy I told you about. ” “ Which one..? ”

The both of them sat in complete silence for about 3 minutes. Max broke the silence by saying “ The one I told you about in the car, after the party? ” “ We talked about 4 different guys. ” El said. “ The one who met me in the hallway and I called him a stalker, El! ” Max sat up from her criss-cross position with El on the floor. “ You met 2 in a hallway. ” “ Oh my god, El. Remember that collage party? I hope you did. I met this guy in the hallway and he was pretty cute, that one! ” Max rushed to say that, in frustration with El. “ Ohh, him! I remember him! ” “ Oh my gosh, El. ” Max started rubbing her forehead, in frustration with El.
“ Are you guys going out? ” “ I think we are. I don't know where, but I definitely have to get ready since it's already 3:00. ” “ I can help! ” “ C'mon then! ” They both went in Max's car, and drove to the mall.

Lucas turned off his phone, getting back to the game that his friends were playing. “ What'd she say? ” Will asked. “ I didn't confess over the phone, I like face to face. But we're meeting up at 5:15, so good luck to me. ” Lucas replied to Will. “ Other than that, I think I need some prep talk for this. ” Lucas worried.
“ Are you atoms? Because you make up my world. ” Dustin said.
“ No, dude. That's genuinely bad. ” Lucas replied to Dustin. “ He's right, but just go for it naturally. You don't need any help.” Will explained. “ Yeah, I guess you're righ- BOOM! ” Lucas cheered, he beat Mike. “ Oh, fuck you dude! ” Mike whined. Lucas checked his phone for the time, telling everyone he was going to go now. They all waved to Lucas, saying goodbye.
