I drove with Mick on the track, we got into the paddocks together, my first time walking there wearing a Mercedes T-Shirt and it feels awkward
We walked with Mick in our hospitality department, there was Toto talking with the Marketing Director, Victoria
"Hello everyone!" I said smiling
"Good Morning Katerina!" Toto said "And Mick"
"Good Morning!" Victoria smiled at me
"Good Morning!" Mick said smiling
"So this is our new Chief Engineer Katerina Horner" Victoria offered handshake that I accepted "I am Victoria the Marketing Director"
"I know you! It's nice to meet you!" I smiled at her
"Ready for your new season?" Victoria asked
"Yeah and I want us achieve!" I sighed smiling
"We can and we will" Toto nodded "Especially with you!"
"Thank you" I nodded at him as well
"Good Morning everyone" Lewis passed us and we all said good morning back at him
"Mick you should go as well, they have media meeting" Toto said and Mick walked there "Lewis will drive in PM hours, so you can grab some coffee and watch how Marcus will work with George"
"Good" I nodded "Thank you for everything Toto!"
"I didn't do anything!" Toto giggled

I didn't watch my father, I know that Max will drive in the same time as Lewis and Checo drove with George
The second part of the testing started and I could hear my heartbeat going too fast
"Radio Check" I said to Lewis
"Loud and Clear" He answered
"Good" I replied, he got out on the track
The first lap was a preparation lap and then it started, he was going fast and having an amazing time
"Good job Lewis! 1:33.610" I smiled softly, he didn't answer and I look at Toro that he had a mad expression
The time was good for a first lap and I'm happy, now Lewis is on his second lap
"1:31.970" I just said to let him now the time he drives
Lewis was avoiding talk to me in the team radio and that was something that makes me mad because we are on the same team and I want to help him win the world championship
By the end of the day, Lewis was second faster with the time of 1:31.408 with Max being first with 1:31.400 so close big so far
Lewis drove back in the garage and he walked out of the car, I walked at him
"Any thing that we could change or discuss?" I asked
"The brakes can kill me with the slow response and we have to check them" Lewis just said, I talked with his Chief Mechanic and they'll do something about it
Then I walked talk with Toto
"Lewis says that the brakes have slow response so the mechanics will do something to avoid it" I said
"Good! You are amazing!" Toto patted my back softly "I will talk to Lewis about what he did today! This is now what I want from him! You did it amazing for your first day now we have to wait about Lewis' acceptance that you are here working with us"
"This is not gonna happen" I laughed
"This will happen!" Toto said proudly "I won't let my team ruin the championship because Lewis treats you so bad!"
Toto is right, a bad relationship between a driver and his chief engineer can coat a championship from him and that is so bad for everyone
"We have meeting!" Nathan said -Nathan is Lewis' 1st mechanic-
We all walked in the meeting room, everyone was there! I sat next to the head Chief Engineer of the team, Russell
"First I want to say something especially to Lewis" Toto looked at me for a second "We are polite and we talk with our engineers! If we want to win the championship! I know we owe Lewis his eighth and George his first so let's be polite and talk to our engineers"
"Bug I talk to Marcus!" George said confused and he looked at me "Oh! I got this!"
"Okay! Let's start! Lewis said that he has a problem with the brakes! That they respond slowly and we're checking them we gonna have news soon! George?" Toto asked
"I don't know but I feel the brakes good in every corner" George replied
"I feel them to respond slowly and I lose time especially in the corners" Lewis said
"We're gonna do this today and test it tomorrow!" Toto said
The meeting kept going until two hours later and then I left with Mick for the hotel, I can say that he's such a good friend and probably the only one who actually likes me
