HEART TO HEART
the ministry !Harry and Ron rounded the corner, slipping the final worker into their hideout. Avery shivered as Ron plucked a few hairs from the woman's head, placing them in the last vial of Polyjuice Potion.
"Right, remember what we said. Don't speak to anyone unless absolutely necessary. Just try and act normal. Do what everybody else is doing, and with any luck, we'll get inside." Hermione sounded as though she was trying to comfort herself just as much as the others, and it made Avery want to throw up with nerves. "And then..."
"It gets really tricky." Harry didn't tear his gaze off of the man he was going to be impersonating.
"Correct." Hermione nodded.
"Wonderful," Avery shifted her weight uncomfortably.
"This is completely mental." Harry gaped at the four unconscious workers as though they were dead.
"Completely." Hermione tried to sound as comforting as she could, failing miserably.
"The world's mental." Ron put in.
Avery grimaced as she eyed the potion with distaste. "These really do taste like goblin piss."
"Come on.. we've got a Horcrux to find." Ron sighed, bringing the vial to his lips.

Entering the Ministry wasn't as difficult as Avery had expected, but it wasn't pleasant; the moment she appeared inside, she felt crowds of people rushing into her, all moving forwards like a steady, unstoppable wave. Her breath hitched, her gaze blurred, and she fought to ground herself with everything moving around her.
Fighting to not burst into tears, she shoved her way over to a stone statue, focusing on it as though the view of Muggles being squashed by a huge stone was incredibly pleasant. Eventually her pulse started to slow and she was able to catch her breath, noticing Hermione and Harry beside her. Hermione looked as though she was about to have a panic attack as she stared at the statue.
"Are those...?"
"Muggles." Hermione finished, trying to sound satisfied with the statue. "In their... rightful place."
Avery did her best to nod, even though she felt as though she was about to throw up on the statue and suddenly regretting having breakfast.
Ron arrived moments later. "Gotta tell you, I'm starting to freak out a bit."
"How long did you say this batch of Polyjuice would last, Hermione?" Harry asked, glancing over at her anxiously.
Hermione didn't respond at first. "... I didn't."
The four exchanged fearful glances before gingerly heading over to the elevators, Hermione never once leaving Avery's side, as though trying to shield her from the huge crowds.
Just before the elevator's gate slammed shut, a man headed over to them, staring menacingly at Ron. "Cattermole. It's still raining in my office. That's two days now."
