Title: Shades Of Cream
Before I begin, this poem was based on a paint chip palette. The colors on the palette were: Fuzzy Unicorn, Ash, Gotta Have It, Cuppa Coffee, Locomotion, Warrior, and Ground Coffee. All the colors are from Glidden Paint.
A single fuzzy unicorn
Standing amidst the ash clouds
"Gotta have it all," right?
That's what you had said,
A cuppa coffee in hand
The locomotion of the morning breeze
Tousling your hair
A warrior, ready to face it all
When suddenly, your ground coffee spills
The warrior falls in battle
And I realize
Surrounded by the ash of gunfire
The unicorn has shed a tear
