THE TONE OF END, marauder's era.06. detention
_____________
Ivy stared at her reflection in the newly shiny cauldron, which used to once be sticky and subdued with ingredients from potions. The metal round pot took one hour just to clean the outside. She had to scrub and scrub with her bare hands. Her wand was taken at once as soon as she entered the classroom. She could not use magic to do the cleaning job.
Ivy didn't really mind, however. She was quite shite at cleaning spells.
Ivy peered into the inside of the cauldron and crinkled her nose at the charred pieces of ingredients. They were all black and one touch would have them crumbling to dust. She could see what used to be a frog leg. One leg was still moving and she wondered how she never realized how gross potions could be.
Ivy glanced towards her wand that laid upon one of the many shelves, between two extra large cauldrons that had supplies piled high in them.
She was annoyed.
Her hands hurt. Her head hurt. Her legs hurt.
Ivy had been standing there for the past hour, cleaning without her wand. She could faintly hear the hoots of owls outside the classroom's large windows. Sometimes, the students would free their owls at night, allowing them to stretch their wings and enjoy the night sky.
Ivy frowned thinking about Thea. Her pigeon was sitting in the smallest of cages compared to the other owls. She needed to fly and Ivy felt bad knowing she could not let her out that night.
Ivy was in detention.
After the whole spectacle of the boys being drenched in water and her, along with Lia, running away from the scene, she'd been weaving through the throngs of people, harrowingly avoiding crashing into their bodies. However, she would turn her head and yell out an apology if she happened to bump into someone.
Unfortunately, Lia had ran into a particularly grump Slytherin. Severus Snape. She'd practically rammed into him as she sent him sprawling out on the floor, landing flat on his stomach and papers from his satchel flying out.
Lia had failed to apologize.
In fact, she laughed.
She continued dragging Ivy after her as they heard the booming voice of Professor McGonagall yelling at the four boys for the mess.
Severus Snape had told on the two girls. He'd told Professor Flitwick of Ivy's participation in the ramming of Lia's body against his. He told the professor that Ivy had been running throughout the halls and causing havoc among them.
He told the same exact thing to Professor Slughorn, the head of his and Lia's house. The girl had been fuming when Slughorn gave her a detention.
Speaking of which, she had to clean the girls bathroom. Let's just say, she never knew the Ravenclaw girls could be so dirty on the fifth floor.
