Their first night had been rather eventful. The moment Kao had woken up again he had fed In for the second time with the nurses guidance, while Pete watched—a little bothered by the constant hands touching Kao's soar body. By the third time, Kao had gotten the hang of it and was feeding In without much problems. And when the sun started to come up, Kao had asked him to message Sun and Mork about In being born. While, he was at it he had texted the rest of their friends.
Mork and Sun had been the first of their friends to come visit them. The moment they had walked in, Mork had given Pete a very quick "Hi, Pete," before making his way over to Kao's side to coo at In.
"Excuse him, he's been so excited to meet the baby since you called," Sun said handing Pete the arrangement of balloons and flowers that they had gotten for Kao and the baby.
"It's fine, I know Kao wanted you both to be here to meet our son," Pete said looking back at them only to see Kao hanging over their son to Mork. "You both did a lot for him, so I feel like I owe you both," Pete told Sun.
"I don't think it's us you owe," Sun said honestly as his eyes had followed back towards his boyfriend, fighting his mind from wondering too deep. "But Kao looks happy, so I'd say you've more than made up for it by his books," He said reaching a hand to pat Pete's shoulder. "The rest is history."
It was nice to know that Sun wasn't holding any grudges and that he reminded him that all that mattered was Kao. "I'm still grateful," Pete said honestly because he was almost certain that if Sun hadn't pitied him, he wouldn't be here right now next to his family. He had gone to go place the flowers by the table besides Kao's bed before going to tie the balloons to one of the chairs.
"He's just too adorable," Mork had cooed gently rocking In in his arms. He had looked over to Sun when his boyfriend had come over to get a look at the baby in his arms. "He looks just like Kao, doesn't he?" Mork had said to him.
"He does," Sun had agreed though he couldn't really tell. If anything, he had just learned to agree out of love. "He certainly is cute," Sun said reaching over to touch his little cheeks.
Every little praise they gave the baby, made Pete's chest swell with pride. He agreed, In was definitely a very cute child.
Kao, as much as he was happy sharing this moment with them, had noticed something else that had caught his attention. "Mork, is that an engagement ring?" Kao asked with a smile on his face as he looked between the sudden shy Sun and Mork.
"Sun proposed the other night," Mork said with a shy smile as he extended his hand out to Kao when he noticed him stretching out to see the ring that was now adorning his ring finger.
"Congratulations, I'm so happy for you both!" Kao had said sounding just as equally as excited as Mork felt.
"Thank you, Kao," Sun said with a smile.
"Congratulations," Pete joined in congratulating them for it, but in reality his mind was wondering towards Kao. They had In now, but they had never talked about marriage. Would Kao even want to get married to him?
