After their impromptu ice cream trip, Chloe and Chan returned to the JYPE building to catch up with Bambam.

"So, how was rap class?" Bambam asked the youngest.

"Uh, well, we skipped," Chloe shrugged. "There was an emergency."

He looked suspiciously between Chloe and Chan, but upon noticing the slightly awkward look on Chan's face, he decided to let it go. "Oh. Anyways, Jackson hyung wanted me to ask you something,"

"Really? What was it?" Chan inquired, seemingly intrigued. Jackson was like the company's celebrity, even if he hadn't yet debuted; every trainee knew him, so Chan was surprised that he had even heard of him.

But he was best friends with a boy who was going to debut with Jackson, so, there's not much surprise there, Chan 🤨

"Well, we're having a party on Thursday to celebrate our upcoming debut, so I asked if I could invite you two and he said I could. So, wanna come?"

Chloe grinned at Chan. "You wanna go?" she asked.

"Eh, i don't see why not. We're coming."

"Amazing!" Bambam cheered. "I'll go tell hyung!"

time skip bc i'm too lazy.

At around 4pm that Thursday, Chloe and Chan knocked on the door of the apartment. "Are you sure this is the right place?" she asked him.

"I think so, this is the address Bam hyung sent me."

The door swiftly opened, revealing a tall man wearing a baseball cap backwards and a pair of shades. Loud music was blaring from inside the apartment and Chloe was sure she could see a couple making out in a corner.

"Oh yes," Chan whispered in her direction "This is the right place."

"Hey kiddos!" Jackson greeted them. "You Bam's friends?"

"Yep, that's us," Chloe responded. "Is he here?"

"Of course he is, in the kitchen with some other friends. Come inside!" jackson ushered them inside his residence.

He led them through the hallways into his kitchen, where bambam, yugyeom, and five other people were standing.

Chloe recognised four of them as the rest of the upcoming boy group, but didn't know who the fifth was. He was seemingly younger than the rest of the group and was sat on a barstool to the side.

Chan, apparently, knew him because he walked over to the boy and grabbed him into a hug. "Hey, Jisung! How are you?"

"Oh, hi hyung! Never been better! Me and Mark were just talking about you." The boy - "Jisung" - replied with enthusiasm as he pulled Chan down and gestured for Chloe to sit beside them.

"Hey guys!" she greeted the rest of the group before turning to properly look at the new face.

"Hyunseo! Chan! Glad you could make it!" The group's leader said. The group then fell into a comfortable conversation, although Chloe could swear she saw the new boy looking at her every now and then.

She leaned over to Chan and asked who the boy was.

His reply? "Oh, that's Jisung. he's a friend of mine. you know, the rapper i was talking to you about?"

Unsatisfied with her friend's answer, she walked over to him. "Hey, i'm Hyunseo, a friend of Chan's," she introduced herself, holding her hand out for a handshake.

"Oh, you're hyunseo!" he shook her hand with enthusiasm. "I'm han jisung, nice to meet you, noona."

"Uh, you don't need to call me noona, or act so formal," she assured him, whilst grabbing another barstool and sitting herself beside him. "I'm probably not that much older than you anyways."

"Well, i was born September 2000. You?"

"February 2000. So I'm only 7 months older."

All of a sudden, Chloe realised something.

"Wait a sec. Aren't we in the same English class?"

"We might be, I dunno. I usually skip English."

"Really? Why?"

"I studied abroad for a couple months, and learned English there. There's no point in studying a language I already speak."

"i understand that. so you skip korean lessons too?"

"Yep. It's like asking a British person to study english. a waste of time."

"That's pretty funny, considering I'm literally from England myself."

"Oh, really?"

"Yep. The English language still makes no sense to me."

"Same! I'd much rather be sat in my studio making some music."

"You can produce?"

"Sort of. Well, i'm getting there. Chan hyung is helping me every Tuesday."

"Ah, so that's where he goes off to all the time. Well. you're in good hands with Channie."

"Do you like Cha-"

"Oh my days, no! Why does everyone always say that?"

"I don't know. Maybe it's because a lot of people like Chan? I'm sorry for asking."

"No, it's fine. I'm used to it."

Chloe glanced at her watch, the time reading 6:32.

"Well, it's getting late, and I have a full schedule tomorrow, and a crap ton of homework, so I think it's time for me to go." she said.

"It was nice meeting you, Hyunseo."

"You too, Jisung."

Chloe stood up to leave, barely leaving the kitchen before Jisung called her. "Hyunseo, wait!"

She turned around to see the boy pulling his phone out. "Can I get your number?"

"Sure," Chloe replied, tapping in her phone number. "Call me so I can get yours too."

Once he did that, Chloe saved his number as "jisung 🐿"

Chloe finally left the kitchen, tapping Chan on his arm to signal it was time to go. The elder stood up, giving his friends a goodbye hug before following Chloe to the door.

"Alright, bye, guys. Good luck with your debut! Got7 fighting!"Chloe announced, receiving loud cheers in response.

Chan let out a final "love you guys!" before shutting the door and making their way home.
