7 - what??

after the party, jisung and chloe struck up a friendship. they had texted each other several times and even planned to meet up after school on most weekdays, along with chan.

it was now monday, and chloe was leaving her classroom when she met up with somi. 

"hey somi," chloe greeted her classmate. "i haven't seen you since last tuesday, where were you?"

"preparing." she shrugged.

"for what? we don't have any tests."

"i'll tell you at the cafe," she winked before running off. 

she's been acting jittery all day. what the fuck?  chloe thought to herself. she didnt think too much about it because shortly after, a hand clapped her on the back. 

"chan, i told you to stop doing that!" she groaned. 

"nice to see you too, seoseo!" he grinned cheekily. "now, let's go to the cafe while we wait."

"wait? for what?"

"oh, jisung's in detention again," he said as they started walking. "he's in there at least three times a week these days."

"damn, he doesn't look like much of a troublemaker." 

"that's true, but he's the type of guy to talk back at the teacher. he's on his second dt of the week."

chloe gasped. "it's monday!"

"i know,' chan shrugged. "that boy's mouth never stops running."

they arrived at the cafe and split up, with chan going to get a table for the two of them, and chloe walking to the tills to place their orders. 

"hey there, hyunseo!" the cashier - a tall man called hwanjeo - greeted chloe. "how's my favourite regular?"

"he's sat at our table over there," she joked. "we're waiting for jisung cos he's in detention."

"i wasn't talking about chan."

"you said your favourite regular."

"come on, you know who i mean!"

"chan has always been your favourite!"

"that's not true!" he protested. 

"you give hin free goodie bags all the time!"

"i love you both equally!"

"so you do admit he's your fave!"

"no!"

"give me a free brownie box and i'll agree." she bargained. 

"fine," he huffed. "just for you."

"oh, and a caramel cappucino for me, and and iced americano for chan," she added. 

"alrighty, coming up!" 

as hwanjeo prepared the order, chloe looked around the cafe. as her eyes wandered, she saw somi. 

oh shit, she wanted to tell me something! i wonder what it was - 

"one brownie box, an iced americano and a caramel cappucino for miss hwang hyunseo!" hwanjeo announced, interrupting chloe's thoughts. 

"oh, thanks, hwanjeo!" she thanked him before reaching into her backpack to retrieve her purse. "and here's a tip that just so happens to be the exact amount this order costs!"

"you do realise koreans don't tip, right?" he chuckled. 

"i know, i was joking about the whole "free" thing. i still love you."
