Chara "come on and admit it. Your not as sane as you used to be. How many resets has it been now? 1 million? 5 million?. 10 billion?. The point is you lost. Countless timelines ago you said that you'd beat me before you fully lost your mind. But nothing changed Aside from our sanity. And I've always returned from each death".
Sans "in this regard you also lost. You claimed after all these timelines I'd grow obsessed with you. That I'd start wanting you to return. All that's happened is I've gotten use to the new lifestyle. Perhaps I am crazy. But when did sanity matter in the first place?" Chara "(he really is completely insane) obsession is an interesting thing. a few more timelines could be all it takes. Or perhaps billions more are required, Either way you'd still eventually want me to come back"
After those words chara killed dust once again. But then something strange happened. "Error. All timelines in use. Sending to unknown timeline". It was like a true reset. But much more controlled. However this wouldn't be the first time dust has experienced a true reset. He knew from experience that he couldn't use deja vu to his advantage. He did however use it as opportunities to learn any specific information he otherwise couldn't.
Such as everything flowey has done. But as things were. There wasn't really anything else in the underground he could learn. He decided to check his stats to see if they were at all affected by this unique situation. (Attack infinite. Defence infinite. Hp infinite. Kills infinite. Exp infinite. Lv infinite, 'the maddeningly determined monster'). Just from curiosity alone. He checked his soul. It was a dark shade of blood red. Though he noticed it was right side up. Then he saw his original monster soul within it. Whatever happened caused everything he did in previous timelines to merge together in this timeline. Was this the omega timeline or alpha timeline of this world? In a way it felt like both.
Countless timelines have gone by which meant this could be the last timeline. But at the same time it was like a true reset which functionality made it the first timeline. He then concluded it must be a different temporal dimension within the world. What other explanation could there be?. In any case. Dust began looking around to find where he was. He knew it was dark. He felt some amount of wind. Then he noticed the most obvious detail. It felt like he was walking for quite a while but going nowhere.
The version of himself from this dimension had unknowingly pranked him. Dust would have even found it funny if it were under different circumstances. However he knew better than to let his emotions get to him. He has killed everyone infinite times before. In every conceivable way imaginable. The only exception was papyrus. And even then it was because his ghost would follow him through every timeline. Every reset. Every true reset. Even every death. Even a small change would be nice every once in a while.
Though now he basically had free reign to do as he wished. However he wasn't dumb enough to assume chara or frisk wouldn't somehow also be in this exact dimension. He needed to prepare. But with infinite stats and infinite levels of violence. There was almost nothing to gain from killing monsters. Though perhaps the determination would be enough to defeat chara. But he had noticed that his soul lacked the traits from each of the human souls. He had a very good idea of what happened with that. All that power couldn't just disappear all at once. And knowing that he didn't have it. The location was obvious.
monster souls couldn't absorb each other and the same was true with human souls. Unless chara actually became a demon the human souls could only be at the barrier. But what to do first?. (Pov. Chara and frisk). After that odd message appeared we both fell back into the underground like normal. However there was an extra frisk and an extra chara with us. That chara and frisk were both not spirits or being possessed by the other. It was quite an odd situation.
However they both were very kind. Even after explaining what we did and how we got here. Even the monsters didn't initiate fights. It was like a dimension where everyone was peaceful. It was clear we are definitely not in our home dimension. Reluctantly chara agreed to not kill anyone in this timeline. However we had no way of knowing what was going on. As Toriel suddenly turned to dust without so much as a warning. Not even a projectile could be found. It was just instant. Even sans from our previous dimension had never acquired such an ability.
It was then we both realized the terrifying truth. The message didn't just affect the both of us. Sans was sent to the past while we were sent to the exact day frisk fell into the underground. Toriel died because she was killed in the past at this exact second. Chara then realized she created a monster much worse than herself. A monster obsessed with revenge. (End of pov).
