Luke's POV
I woke up to the smell of brunt toast and then a crash in the kitchen. "Dad! Everything alright?"
"Everything is just fine son!" My dad laughed.
I threw on a hoodie and some shorts. "What's for breakfast?" I asked him as I ran down the stairs.
He cleared his throat and said "Well, I was thinking some toast but..." he directed me to the burnt toast "so I don't really know what to give you son."
"Oh dad its alright." I gave him a hug. And took the burnt toast in one hand and grabbed my backpack in the other.
"So you are going to eat the burnt toast?" my dad asked.
"Its better than nothing, and everything you make is delicious." I wink and he throws a huge smile at me. "Hey dad can I ride to school on Sylvie?" Sylvie is my dad's car-- or should I say one of my dad's car. It is a Mercedes Benz, so its quite comfortable.
"Have I ever said no to your requests?" My dad asked.
"Not that I know of," I smiled and he tossed me the keys to my ride. I felt so much happier around my dad than my mom. Mom was just a fancy old girl who hated to spend time with her son, and she was not as rich as my dad. My dad however didn't even have the rich people ego, he was fun an loving. I just loved him.
I drove the Mercedes to school which was about half an hour away. As soon as I got out, there she was standing there waiting for me. Laila. I seriously just need to breakup with her.
"Babe, do you know what just happened. This guy he bumped into me. That is like, garosss. I am so glad you are her now you can beat the shit out of him. Won't you do that for me." She wrapped her hands around me and looked at me with her two eyes. Oh those dark brown eyes were threatening me. Usually people would say that they are gorgeous, but only I knew the true story behind them.
"Yeah sure babe," I sigh. I can't argue with her.
'"Hey yo Luke. I missed you over the summer man!"
"Hey, hey my man!" I smile and we do the one hand hug. "How have you been. How is your grandmother?" He was in Canada for the whole summer because his grandma had a stroke.
"Oh she is still at the hospital, but she will be fine." he smiles. "Ah so refreshing to see you Laila." He reaches out for a hug, but she backs up.
"Gaross. Do you really think you can hug me. Babe he thinks he can touch me, he shouldn't even be looking at me. Go back to the cotton gin you salave!"
"Laila! How dare you talk to Lloyd like that! You know what, I am breaking up with you. I cant put up with your stupid acts anymore! Understand?!" This is the first time I have raised my voice.
"You really think you can find a better girl than me. Fine go ahead and, like... go ahead and like..." she pauses for a few minutes and then she just gets so frustrated that she throws down her purse and storm off.
"Ooh, look at that, strawberry lip gloss. I love strawberry man." Lloyd smiles.
"Oh Lloyd what would I do without you."
"Yo! Wassup guys," here came our last leg completing the group. "Man, I have missed you," he starts talking to Lloyd.
"Hey guys, look what I got. A new football!"
"Aww man, nice dude!" Leo smiles.
"Hey yo! Luke pass it to me!" Lloyd runs back and I throw the football as hard as I can.
"What's that going on over there?" Leo points to the parking lot.
"Probably another school drama," I answer.
I look down to see what is actually happening, and I see a pair of green eyes staring at me. I stare back. "Watch out!" I yelled as the foot ball traveled to the girl in a very fast speed.
She caught it and threw it so hard that it went over the school fence. Well there goes my new football. And then I heard her say "That's what you deserve."
What the heck?
I walked up to her and rudely said " I am so sorry Miss, but you have to put up with our as in the kings of the school's actions." I realized that she wasn't wearing a shirt. She said something but I started zoning out. The crowd around us cheered and then I just looked around and left, having no idea what she said. I sure didn't want to run into her again.
