"Luke wake up!" Lise yells at me.
"Okay Lise, my eyes are open." I yell back at her, I wonder what she mean by wake up.
"Ugh you are so-"
"Smart... Handsome... oh no wait lemme guess caring?" I ask her.
"Yup totally," she says sarcastically. "Okay what are you waiting for?" she asks me like its a matter between life and death. "That girl over there is perfect for you. I have seen the way you looked at her when you introduced her to me, I saw you blush and then smile a little. Why are you even dating Laila, I hate that girl but I actually like Diana very much you need to break up with her and ask Diana out to the Homecoming."
"Okay, first of all Diana is just a friend, and I already broke up with Laila and since when have I started dating people you like?"
"Luke I am just saying that girl... is a very rare specimen, trust me. Men can do anything to find such beauty, and then at the same time the toughness that she possesses." She turns serious. We are in the kitchen away from Diana and my buds. I know what she is saying is true and I know she has a point, but I just don't know how I can ask her out... I mean I have just met her and it hasn't even been a whole day!
"I see your point. I mean you do have a point but I will be rushing if I ask her out now. Let it be, I wanna take things slow." I give her a wink.
"Fine, but promise me that you won't ask anyone else but Diana. You know I have a feeling that you have found the owner of that necklace. The one that you have been saving for your supposed "the one"," she laughs.
"Haha," I give her a very sarcastic laugh hoping she will get the message. My sister was my best friend and she knew when to stop teasing me and when I was sad and all that. I think she was right about Diana being the one. What if she was? I mean my life would all of a sudden come together. I would finally get out of this me that I am stuck in, I mean me not finding true love. I used to not believe in true love, and I still have doubts but maybe I can find the one, considering the fact that my sister is happily engaged with Bob, and seeing them together is kind of a reassurance that maybe true love does exist.
"Come on lets go. Diana must be waiting for you," Lise teases me, and then laughs. I give her my don't you talk about this conversation in front of my pals look. She quickly understands but doesn't even try to follow my message. "I am so sorry guys. I was just talking about how Diana and Luke over here would look so good together." I elbow Lise. "Ow! He is so shy!" Lise laughs. I see Diana blushing. Oh God Lise just had to.
"Don't mind her she just likes to joke around we were just talking about our parents and arguing on who will stay at mom's and who will stay at dad's." I lie trying to save my self from embarrassing me. I smile. "Isn't that right Lise?" I pinch her. She starts to laugh.
"Oh god sorry. Yeah totally like we didn't have it figured out in the first place." she replies sarcastically. Lise you are in big trouble I mouth.
"Anyways um... I should be going I need to take care of my mom." Diana smiles. "It was great to meet you Lise. Um... se ya around?" she smile.
"Bye Diana. Have a good one," I smile back at her. After she leaves I stop smiling.
"Bye Diana..." Lloyd starts.
"Have a good one!" Lise, Lloyd and Leo finish off and start laughing.
"Why are you guys laughing?" I ask them.
"Dude," Lloyd places a hand on my shoulder "Its is crystal clear that you like that girl. Ask her out before some other guy steals her from you."
"I don't want to rush." I reply.
"Just ask her out as friends, I mean that is not rushing right?" Leo joins in the conversation..
"Yeah. A guy would be crazy to not ask that girl out. Look at her she is perfect. I don't know what it is that is in her but whatever it is, is magical." Lise comes in trying to convince me. "Oh and she is better than Laila and you know I think she is prettier too."
"Lise, are you suddenly realizing that you are a Lesbian?" I ask my sister.
"Actually yes. I am Lesbian," she smiles.
"What seriously?" I can't believe what I just heard. "What about Bob?" I ask her.
"OMG. Just. Don't. You really think I am a Les?" She starts laughing. Oh thank God I mean woah I would have an engaged lesbian sister who was engaged to a man. I didn't want that.
"You are in big trouble!" I yelled. She still hadn't stopped laughing and I was so angry at her. How could she even do this to me? Why did she do this to me. I can't even look at her now! "You know how much I hate liars. I already have enough of mom lying to us, I don't need another liar in my life. I just want the truth." I was starting to get furious, I don't know why but I was. I hated liars, that is what I feared the most. The were a piece of shit! even if they lied for small things, the other thing I hated the most was people who did drugs. I mean why would you want to do drugs? Why did they even exist!
"Okay bro I am sorry. It was supposed to be a joke." Lise smiled at me. I could see it in her eyes, she was actually sorry.
"Its okay."
"Alright we should go home now. Bye." Lloyd and Leo left.
"Alright bye guys," I give them the one hand hug "See ya tomorrow."
