Luke's POV:

Lately me and Zander haven't been talking as much, don't get me wrong, we didn't get into a fight or anything, except we've been...drifting away? I hope we can salvage things though, since i'd be VERY upset of losing my childhood best friend. Though, i still hope he tells me important things, like if somethings wrong with him, because hes been messing up keys on the piano, heading to the toilet more often, etc.

Time skip

I was going to the bath room after class to do my business, but when i enter, i see many flowers on the floor and blood. Yeah, pretty sure this is the hanahaki disease. I slowly enter trying not to be disgusted and look around the room, seeing....Zander!? He was covering his mouth with one hand and his clothes were red from all the blood. He had a shocked expression on his face.I quickly went to help him, by rubbing his back, i don't know what im doing. I say with a rushed voice:

"ZANDER! Are you okay?!- should i call a teacher? Or the hospital? "

In response zander gags as i rush out to get help, but zander stops me. He can't speak at all but i just wait, still shocked and tears in my eyes from seeing him like this. Ive liked him for so long, im so scared to lose him. Zander tries to speak:

Zander:"- Meet-me-school gate-today-after-school-"

He says as i am left speechless... i mumble "okay.." still so sad seeing him like this. I need to pay him more attention! He cannot die on me!

After school i rush to the gate- seeing zander there sitting on the ground by a tree nearby. I run to him and ask:

"Whats up? I wanted to ask since well-"
Zander:"Im sorry this is ridiculous-I love you luke. You probably don't like me back and I could get the surgery, but i need you to know. The reason i was avoiding you..i thought you would think i like you and you wouldn't wanna be friends with me anymore."

I was shocked...but somewhat relived. My childhood crush liked me back. I reply with no hesitation, some simple effective words:
"I love you too."

Zander stares at me, blushing like crazy mumbling "oh...i think ive been cured"
